I just finished reading the epilogue, and it was amazing! (SPOILER) I loved how it delved into Arthur's feelings after Mordred's death. They must've been pretty close for him to be so devastated ;w; Now I'm itching to know about their relationship and Mordred's feelings towards Arthur when he made the choice to betray him...

The extra dose of Arthur fluff was perfect! (SPOILER) The scene where MC comforted Arthur by Mordred's grave was so intimate, and Arthur braiding flowers into MC's hair was just adorable!! I can't wait to draw them again πŸ₯ΊπŸ’š

Thank you so much again for adding an epilogue to the game!! I still can't believe my art inspired you to do so πŸ₯Ή I'm so looking forward to your next game <3

I forgot to mention this in my previous comment, but I absolutely loved the different reactions the MC could have to Arthur's feelings towards Mordred! Personally, I've always leaned towards otome games that allow more freedom to shape the MC or insert yourself/OC, rather than playing a predefined MC, so I really appreciate your consideration in adding more player choices for your future games! (No hate to otome games with set MCs, of course. I'll give them a try if they pique my interest, but most of the time, they aren't my cup of tea;;)

Hello!! I know it's just been two days, but the epilogue gave me another burst of inspiration I just had to draw Arthur and my MC together again πŸ₯ΊπŸ’š I also drew Mordred! I liked his design and wanted to try my hand at drawing him. Link <3

Hello hello! Wow, first off, thank you for all your comments! They give me life, and I'm sure that because of you, I'm going to live an extra minute on this Earth.

Second, I completely understand where you're coming from. I've similarly found myself less interested in games with established MCs! I understand why they exist, of course. Having one can be a good vehicle to use when telling an established story, and others may prefer to vicariously experience romance from an outsider's perspective. For me though, it never clicked! I've always been prone to self-inserting in most media my whole life, and at times, I would get jealous of certain characters if they were with someone that I liked! πŸ˜… There have even been times where I stopped playing certain games because I just couldn't get past not having an MC that was, well... me!

As such, I'm very very glad that you enjoyed the epilogue! Since it was meant to be a shorter project, I wanted to use it to brush up on a few things I think the original game lacked, in particular, more player choice. I'm very happy it turned out well.

Moving on, as always, your drawings are top tier! ❀️ Seeing other people self-insert with something I make tickles me on a primal level, and it absolutely warms my heart to see that I, and most importantly Arthur, can inspire you to make something amazing! Also, I loved how you drew Mordred! His piece was such a contrast to Arthur's, which was what I wanted to achieve with his appearance. As a side note, I too am happy with his design, and at certain points in development, I mentally kicked myself for not doing more with him, especially since I has his entire backstory planned, but had no time to put in-game! 🀭 Oh well, maybe another time.

Thanks again for all your art and comments! I'll always be here to cheer you on if you want to show me anything else, even if it's not related to this game! ❀️

I know that feeling very well!! I'm definitely the type who can't live vicariously through an established MC. *I* want to date the guys too, come on!! And you're not alone! I got really into OC x canon two years ago, and now I can't look at ships involving a canon character anymore except if it's with my OC lol;; Recently, I also dropped a game because I found out the MC actually had a set appearance, and the only customizable part was their name. It kind of ruined my immersion because I was playing with the intention to self-insert πŸ˜…

Thank you for your kind words!! <3 I have to say that before playing RTL, I was in a drawing slump and drawing Arthur and my MC really helped me get out of it, so thank you again for creating such a lovely character and game πŸ’š

I'd definitely play a game/route centered on Mordred if you ever decide to make one! The epilogue made me really curious about his relationship with Arthur and how he came to *that* decision. I'd love to delve deeper into his character and motivations. Also, can I be honest and say that Mordred definitely has that otome love interest potential? Because I can already picture how his route would possibly be in my head, with angst and maybe multiple bad ends.

Your encouragement means a lot to me, thank you πŸ₯ΊπŸ’š I just remembered that I have an OC who shares the same name with Arthur. He even has brown hair too! Here's an old art of him. My Arthur is a bit stupid, but he has a good heart. I think he and RTL Arthur would enjoy sparring and having afternoon tea together <3

Okay, I just have to say, I feel completely the same way! This is a bit embarrassing to admit, but I don't typically like consuming romance media, because I have a tendency to get jealous of the characters! πŸ˜… I often felt a bit isolated because to this habit, as many others preferred pairing pre-established characters, while I would want the characters to end up with me. πŸ€ In fact, when I was younger, I even recall editing an ebook to change the protagonist's name to mine! This quirk of mine is a big part of what got me into otome games, and eventually game development myself, so I suppose it was for the best.

Also, please do not tempt me with Mordred!! πŸ˜† I too agree that he has total love interest potential, and the more you say this, the more I mentally kick myself for liking his character design so much. As of now, there are no solid plans to flesh out a route for him, but I'm certainly inclined to do something small, like I did with the epilogue, as a way to test the waters.

By the way, your drawing is fantastic! It totally reminds me of something I'd find in old-school anime, and I am completely in love! ❀️ You're incredibly talented, and I'm so happy to hear that my little game got you to draw again. Also, your Arthur looks so handsome as well, and I'm sure he and my Arthur would be good friends!

As an aside, thank you so much for showing your love for this game! I never thought I'd be going back to it after its release, but I'm so happy to see that it made an impact on you, and to have the opportunity to expand it like this. Sending you many virtual hugs!
