You should read the rules of this subforum and amend your game announcement with the screenshot and description.

Indexing is done semi automatically when you put your project to public status or whatever it is called. That means it can take hours to a month or never. Depending on several factors. Not everything gets indexed, and sometimes it takes longer. In my opinion your current game page would not warrant indexing. There is nothing there. First time paid stuff also takes longer. Maybe there is more information you want to know in the faq.

Also, if you call the project a game, why did you file it under books.

I called it a book because it is actually a gamebook style thing made in twine, so I wasn't exactly sure what to call it there. Also, I am not really sure what screanshot to put in here because the gamebook has no visuals. Its all text. So I assumed I wouldn't need any screanshot

screenshot would be nice.. even its only of a text game

You did call it a game in this thread and not a book. So to you it is a game. And to my understanding it is not a book if it is meant to be interactive.

While the level of interactiveness is debateable for a chose your own adventure book or something like a kinetic visual novel where you only press next, those do require software to run. I cannot print your "gamebook" and read it on paper. You would have to create a printable format where I could then turn the printed pages manually instead of using a software to navigate per hyperlinks. Then your gamebook would be a book, instead of a twine game.

But opinions vary. Other devs also think, their twine games are books. https://itch.io/books/tag-twine

I suggest you look at those to see examples for screenshots and gamebook descriptions.
