I downloaded the mini version. I read the text files, I put my game in the folder with the rest of my WHDload games, I edited the xml file. I saved, etc. etc. etc. Yet the game does not show up in the game list. How is this even possible? The file is there, the folder even shows a file size for it. If I double click the lha, it even opens. Am I in the Twilight Zone?
The mini stuff is kinda tricky indeed, I'm very sorry about that. I'd suggest not editing the xml file and just accept it as it is (scorpion_dev file name), browse to that file and run it. Don't forget that it's the red button in the controller to *select it* and the *HOME* button to actually play it.
I didn't make that mistake, what I did end up doing was start with a fresh USB. The mini didn't seem to pick up on the changes in the XML file, so I altered the settings in the menu manually and now the game runs at a great speed... though the character info menu at the top keeps glitching out. Though I heard that was a present bug anyhow. Very impressive, I can't wait till it's complete! That development engine must be really powerful!
Great to hear! Yeah the flicker in the score bar is only present in the mini and we're hoping for a fix. Try Lionheart or Aladdin on the mini, they got even more noticeable flicker. That's because they're all games that use the copper (coprocessor of the Amiga's chipset) a lot, which apparently brings the Amiberry implementation to its knees. It runs flicker-free in other devices or in the real Amiga, though.
