the problem is that 90% of all games that cost money are scams with way to little content that often get abandoned resulting in every bit of money one spends being wasted 

because of this most people are overall hesitating, then there is the problem that we can't really tell how much content this game has and how good it is and buying a game blind is always difficult 

best would be a demo version that shows that this game is worth buying or you try make it free and live with the support through patreon, but that would be a risk and i understand if you wouldn't want to make it free
