Phew, good to hear. I've heard it from a Dev before and they sure seemed serious so really didn't want to see it happen here.
I've seen a ton of updates compared to the first chapter (don't think I was here yet for most of it). Takes however long it takes as you said, each update has a ton of updates within almost mini chapters within if you will.
I get what you're saying and I don't want to bog you don't with side talk but don't even get me started on AAA game studios. A lot of that is because they lost the ability to enforce crunch culture and Devs are forced into terrible business practices by those above them such as...
Macrotransactions
Insane decisions for which practically if not outright killed them
Always-online/online-only (they all die and get de-listed some much sooner than others)
Rushed, broken, buggy releases like...
Fallout 76, OW2, Cyberpunk 2077, and the last two Pokemon games, which were busted from launch with OW2 going as far as having much less than the original...what happened to being on fire? And the whole reason for the switch from the OG to 2?
All 343 Halo games fall somewhere in the criteria
Most if not all sports games are filled with macrotransactions and bugs
MW3 and arguably most recent ones as well
Gollum straight up disaster for the studio (Embracer?) think it even shut down
PAYDAY 3 what happened?
Dreadful ( Redfall)
Starfailed (Starfield)
and so, so many countless other. Most have lost their original talented workers and/or been absorbed by one studio or another and are falling apart not to mention they have been clowned on for years now, even Larian has been calling out Ubisoft for their insanity. That's not including the outright scams and lies they pulled nor the ones in development hell, such as Skull and Bones was so it's a bit harsh to compare yourself to those disasters imo, but again I do see where you're coming from and what you mean by it and heck even BGS has had Nate Purkeypile quit to do his own thing and create a game and I believe he is doing it all by himself. Seems he saw the writing on the wall and left, had merch from every game he worked on even F76 but not Starfailed...
No problem, I remember you're still learning as well.
