I know the feeling of going over time, but I want at least a functional game. The game loops there but gets lost because of the lack of graphics and sound, so there is no vibe to feel.
A couple of points to think about (these are just my opinions)
- The text should be larger
- I would focus on the room you are currently in rather than a map
- The sound would make a big difference, especially if keep them subtle and low to add to a sense of tension and eerieness
This is a very promising idea and an interesting submission
