Honestly, starting with Twine is a great start. I haven't heard this advice in a while, but I used to hear that starting with text based games is a great start to game development.

IDK if I'll be able to answer your questions myself just due to being busy with life, and I've never used Twine.

But there is a Twine Games subreddit, and a discord server so perhaps consider joining those?
