I like your writing! I think it's an interesting take on the theme, if a bit loosely related at times - gameplay wise, wish there was more difficulty with the levels being different, maybe with a time limit or something, otherwise plays more like a visual novel a bit (not sure if that was the intent). Also, good job on the pixel art! you did really good for your first time making it in that style, it's a lot harder than it looks :0
