I just updated my game to the latest version and got this error too. I'm pretty sure it has to do with the new file format changes that GMS2 implemented, so I think it'll require the dev here to post an update to fix it.
That's good to hear, I was just worried I goofed something up and couldn't figure out what it was.
I rolled my version back to the latest 2023 runtime/install and it worked just fine :)
