Im gonna have to say, it was either abandoned here on itch and possibly somewhere else or yes abandoned altogether. The last update, which i didnt check until now, was in 2022. So 2yrs without an update is likely.
though, its possible its still being developed elsewhere like patreon or subscribestar or etc.
Seems more devs are either leaving or cashing in on their titles.
That's a bit sad, hope nothing happened to the dev. But damn, guess the title was abandoned. Typically if something is more then a year without updates, good luck seeing anymore.
just like monster girl island, the dev stopped producing updates in 2020-ish. Patreon kicked him out because he was still taking money for it but said himself he was done with mgi. People are still paying him for mgi
