I would say that for the use in an AVN, set in America, it makes no difference to use a fictitious name as being a college or university.  You could also create a fake one that does not have either 'college' or 'university' in its name. The US has a famous example of one called the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

And for this kind of game, it therefore helps to set it in Tennessee or Texas, for obvious reasons.
