Pretty fun demo. Blocking is a real deal here. You gonna use alot, especially fighting the boss. It gives this game a little bit of unique strategy to most beat em up. Ability to attack enemies repdly while they are falling in mid air and just bounce of the edge of screen is satisfying as well.

The real problem of the demo here is the grabbing mechanic. I feel like its trying to be like SOR or something but when I do, character just turn around left and right constantly without throwing most of the time. One time it works, Another time it doesn't. I still confuse on how grabbing mechanic works. And, since grab attack is what really give the soul to the genre, this is the biggest problem of the demo to me.

[EDIT: So after i wrote this I discovered that up/down+attack buttons swap the position while left/right+attack to throw depend on position, I start to get used to it now but problem still occurred a sometimes. They just don't work well together for me.]

Another one here is that block button is the same as picking button, this does result in unfair hit when weapon is below you when all you want is trying to block. You also cant blocking while having weapon in your hand since this will result in throwing weapon. Nothing offensive though since dodging is still a handy move.

Invincibility mechanics that exists in many classics of this genre are gone here. Enemies can attack you freely even when you are throwing body, picking up items, and even when you laying down.  Again not something offensive about it. Just a little annoying.

There are glitch that happen a few times throughout the demo, especially in hard mode, where the sprite just floating mid air. like getting attack by enemies while holding a large container or barrel, or when that fast short girl with knit hat riding you in mid air after you jumped.

Overall still enjoyable even with small criticism. The pixel art is cute. Music is perfect for it. I'm looking forward to get the full release of this game (I think it's pretty close now from the date I've seen).

I really appreciate your honest feedback. Some of these points, I totally agree with, especially about the vulnerability in some actions (like throwing enemies, picking up items, etc.). Some of these are already being worked on for the final version. I'll take notes on your other opinions. Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. Don't forget to add Maiden Cops to your Steam Wishlist and follow Pippin Games there (it helps a lot).
