Really cool idea, it ended up feeling like a mix of Slay the Spire for the combat+items, and Crypt of the Necrodancer, for having a limited time to take decisions and everything moving continuously.
I found that you can go into healing mode (shield on item 1, and then swap boots/healing ring), and then attack mode (Big sword item 1, and then keep swapping speed boots and either Boomerang for 1st hit, or normal sword). With this, you keep winning without the game getting harder. Although it's not that easy to keep forever.
