A super impressive game. Great art, and a simple yet well-designed gameplay loop. Music adds a lot here too. I wonder what this game would be like if you could spend your gold on ship upgrades or something more relevant to the gameplay loop? Maybe I didn't pick up on something, but I believe the new characters are purely cosmetic? What if they unlock some special ability or alter the speed/maneuvering of your ship. Just a thought. Really impressive overall!
