I'm kind of torn on this one. I really appreciate that they are going for something a bit more unique than a lot of games. I think they did a lot right. Being a young lady was the right choice for the protagonist, and I did feel myself being anxious and stressed...in a good way. I found the gameplay fun, and would play it again if they expanded the game.
What I didn't like was mainly the length. From the description, I was under the impression it would be longer with more than one home invasion scenario. And that "Atmospheric House" is so freaking overused. The burglar AI could be better and I'm not sure if I just missed them, but I would like a couple more hiding places, especially in the basement. And One thing that drives me crazy in a lot of games, including this one, is keys, cards, other items, in the most random of places nobody would ever think to look. I get it that that is pretty much a staple of horror games that you have to look everywhere, but I think there should be some rhyme or reason, or a clue as to where items you are looking for could be. One more thing, and it's both a pro and a con, was the typical pictures you see in every other horror game. They were in this game, but I appreciated that the dev gave them a reason to be there by adding notes as to why they are relevant.
Ultimately I do recommend this game, as I had fun playing it and liked the unique approach, even if done with assets that aren't unique. My only hangup is the price, as I think it's a little high compared to what else you can get at that price. It's certainly not the worst price or a ripoff or anything like that though.
