This. This captures an artist's perspective so well and remarkably, I struggled to put it into words here. First, the art itself is incredibly done and even without color, aside from the occasional splash of red throughout the story. Secondly, the small number of scenes in comparison to the number of scenes I visualized was so calming in an eerie sort of way. Thirdly, the emotions. I have no words. This is so beautiful and so moving, Even though the sun was outside and reflecting off of the recent snow, I could feel the shadows in each scene wrap around me like a blanket. And of course, the voice actors were amazing and vocalized the emotions and characters so well. Was it just me or did Marie end up sounding a bit like Emma Watson? Not complaining though. Overall, I truly wish I could wipe my memory and experience the feeling of playing it for the first time again.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm so happy to hear how much this story moved you and that it was relatable from an artist's perspective. Hearing that you wish you could experience it again might be one of the biggest compliments on my work ever, haha.
The cast really put their all into the script, so I'm glad you enjoyed the performances as well!
