to people requesting a steam key because they bought the game from here:

What you are demanding is just like getting the PS4 copy of GTA V and demanding it's PC version because you bought the game before. Have a good day/night.

yeah, but there's a new update and it only came out on steam for now, but players are impatient that it'll come for the itch.io version in the 18th of april so yeah that's why

and also i'm pretty sure the multiplayer version of buckshot roulette isn't coming out to itch

the difference between GTA V and this game is that both versions are the same for GTA V, the multiplayer is both in there, same missions, features, etc.

For this game, already 3 features are/will be missing in the new itch version (multiplayer, leaderboard and achievement because those features require Steam and the Steam tools/rely on Steam)

Also, he is gonna increase the price for the itch version, but why? The steam version is out, everybody is gonna buy that version, nobody is gonna buy this version anymore (because of the extra features), people are not stupid, they are gonna buy the best version once in the future/now..

So please do not compare an indie game made by 1 dev vs a AAA game/big studio.

We, at itch, we paid for a lesser version (and we supported this dev, without us, the Steam version will not exist/he will not have enough money to sell it there/find a publisher) of the game and future big features are only coming to the steam version.

Why are you compelled to defend this? Honestly I don't get it. Early supporters in any other scenario would usually receive compensation for supporting early development. As a thank you for allowing the developer to be able to fund further development. That's pretty standard. In this scenario people are mostly asking for a steam key because they're being treated better. They're getting features that aren't going to be even be added here and are also getting updates 2 weeks earlier. It’s pretty reasonable for people to feel a little betrayed for seemingly being treated worse despite being the reason development probably continued at all.

what a flex

But it’s not the same thing. They get more options for being late to the party. The game wouldn’t even be on steam without the Itch supporters, and we get less than they do? There’s not point in arguing against it, Mike seems reasonable enough to get us Steam keys

Terrible analogy. Difference is that these people had no idea it was going to be ported. With Rockstar, you at least know that they are planning to port it to PC in the near future.
