I actually dk, I did what it said and got the ending in the first try. I suppose you did joke about marriage in the first day and then spoke about it on the 5th and 6th? Also I flirted too and it worked perfectly so it can't be it.
yeah choosing the spring as ur fav season is one of the main requirements or smth to get that ending! theres some walkthroughs w/ getting the ending too
