It's wonderful.
My only two requests for future patches - an option to give generated heroes and spells pseudo-syllabic names ('3'->'la', etc) so we can get more attached to them, and a rebalance of the 8-curse that deals one and petrifies, vs the 10-curse ogre, which is basically the same thing without the petrify - one of those has to be miscosted.
