Been playing this game for a while and quite enjoy it however the main issue i have is having to restart the game every new version as saves are fucked between versions even if i manage to load a save i run into bugs which make it unplayable for instance in version .195 if i try to view the hints screen after loading the game from a previous version save i get hit with a error that means i can't continue as hitting ignore doesn't work and i just noticed the new content option however would prefer to play though continuously with one set of saves rather than having to use that. will it ever be possible to use saves between versions?
Hi, thanks for playing. Yeah it's a big challenge I'm trying to deal with. Whenever possible I'll try to make old save files compatible with the new version, but unfortunately due to the structure of the game (and my knowledge of python) it isn't always possible. Much of the content of the hints screen gets initialised when the game is first starts. I'll do what I can to plan a few versions ahead to allow for compatibility of save files, but can't promise that eventually I'll need to add something that will mess them up.
