WebGL had crackling/popping audio. The game started lagging during the first rat fight as well. I reloaded the page, and I entered the first rat fight again. This time, the rat fight had the first few combat prompts but then the music kept going without anything to hit. Had the game run in the background for around 5 mins, and it seemed to work a lot better. There were still some pops, but nothing too intrusive + the rhythm game worked correctly.

I love the game's controls and audio. When working properly, the movement and world interactions felt very fluid. The music kinda sounds like spacy-rocky Sega Outrun which is pretty awesome. I enjoy how cohesive the art, animations, and audio are. This game also draws people in with the opening scene--great narrative work. I love the npcs' personalities too!

If I could change one part about this game, I'd add a auditory cue for a "hit." I wasn't sure why my health was going down during rat fights, but I saw the "hit" text.

Overall, solid entry with an interesting narrative, retro visuals and audio, and intuitive game controls.
