Just a perfectly relaxing game where you get to splash around in water and listen to some Beethoven! Don’t understand the tension people are talking about :P
I did spend a significant amount of time wondering why shift to speak wasn’t doing anything before I realized I had misread that, obviously a me problem 😅 I wonder if there’s a way to make this actually a blind-accessible game? Your character’s gotta be pretty dang smart to figure out how to get around just by the sounds of their footsteps, or to deduce what other creature’s feet look like just by hearing them. Honestly I think the tension would’ve been higher without a visual indicator of what each footstep was, even if you left in the sound of them.
I don’t feel like I understood the crumbling wall mechanic at all when it was introduced, I wonder if I just blitzed through it or if there could be a way to change that level to make it clearer? Also wasn’t sure if there were interactions between the bats and the red things, or the mouse and red things (though I guess they eat them, not the bats though?), or if there was a way to exploit any of that - that feels like something that could get polished up for a future version. Perhaps a rock throw mechanic could be cool too.
But there’s also something short, sweet, and complete about this version too. Like, I would’ve liked the ability to pause maybe? A slightly nicer menu? These are really tiny complaints, whereas this game is truly exceptionally good. Congratulations on it :)
