I didn't mean to read this in one setting (I was trying so hard to savor it because that's what Roo's impeccable prose does to me) but I finished it and then stared at my ceiling for an hour because of how blown away I was.

Omegaverse is not typically my thing unless it offers even a slightly different perspective on the concept, and SEED TAKES ROOT definitely qualifies. The concept of secondary genders being fluid to some extent, especially with the inclusion of HRT, is extremely my shit. I also love an older character coming to terms with a side of their sexuality and/or gender they've previously suppressed in some way, even moreso when the catalyst possesses a forbidden aspect.

These factors come together masterfully in SEED TAKES ROOT, not to mention the delightfully suffocating level of intimacy and horniness that bleeds through every page. The expected qualities and tropes of omegaverse are present, but explored with unique, surprising characters in a tense, desperate situation.

That's about the extent of my cohesive thoughts; the rest is rabid barking and screaming into a pillow. Thank you so much for writing this!!

Thank you so much!! I realized a long time ago that omegaverse provides a really amazing avenue to talk about trans identity in the horniest, hottest possible way and it really busted open the entire genre for me. Absolutely thrilled that more people can see it too. And a little dead dove romance never hurt~
