The after images were cool, and I liked how the planets exploded and became projectiles after you drank them. It made me smile after drinking all eight planets and the game said, "Alright, now drink the SUN" (paraphrasing, but that was the feeling I got). Drinking the sun made me feel powerful (I did try to drink it at the start too, and it did not go well).
I was kind of confused about why I wasn't dying, because I am bad at bullet hell games and I was drinking projectiles more than planets. Using "number of times you got hit" as the score mechanic is a really clever solution to allow bad players like me to beat the game, and really good players to get higher scores. You might consider adding a time component to the score mechanic too, because the second time I played I did way way better, but it was because I would dash off as soon as the projectile shooting things caught up to me.
