Hi darksand123,
thank you for your question. Since I've also had difficulty playing many games on Playdate due to my visual impairment, I’ve emphasized certain elements to make my game more accessible for players with visual challenges.
Specifically, these are the elements I focused on:
- Audio Cues: Distinct sounds that provide feedback on in-game actions and events
- Simple Controls: You can play just using the crank
- Bigger Sprites: Larger character and object sprites compared to other games, making them easier to see and distinguish.
- High Contrast: Strong contrast between sprites and background graphics to enhance visibility and reduce visual strain.
By integrating these features, I hope to create a more enjoyable and accessible gaming experience for everyone, including those with visual impairments.
Cheers!
