I wanna work on a game based around shinto mythology and culture that both provides a fun and culturally immersive experience, the problem is I need a direction for it, over the years the rough direction and vision of the game became uncertain due to other games successes making the genre of the game uncertain, so we are in primary need of artists and writers that are either experienced with japanese culture and history or are willing to learn it as they adapt. The same offer is extended to any music and sound designers, and programmers, but primarily the highest need is concept art and writers to help direct this into an angle that works.

As interesting as the concept is it's not my vision for either, the shinto based game was meant to be heavily cultural and teach outsiders about shintoism in a fun way like okami did so I wanna keep it some kinda adventure game, while the other game is meant to be a pet sim for people who genuinely miss nintendogs and other similar games
However if someone else wanted to make a yokai pet sim go for it, not my interest
I have two projects in mind that're still in concept stage and I could really use artists to help figure out how these games will look. There isn't a cap on how many are needed nor a demand of skill level, just a willingness to help. Animal artists, character artists, and environment or object artists welcomed and we'll definitely need to work out concepts of the ui.
- The first project I'm planning is a nintendogs like game that'd hopefully bring back the heart and nostalgia of nintendogs and some of the petz games people loved. It's going to be a 3D pet sim game that hopefully has aspects like adventure and exploration, there will be no ads or microtransactions as much as I can help it and it'll genuinely feel as much as I can manage like a nostalgic pet sim.
-The second one is more flexible in artstyle but it's a game based entirely on shinto mythology like cultural aspects and yokai, the game doesn't have a set artstyle nor storyline but the direction is there. I would be open to anyone especially knowledged and interested in shinto mythology and Japanese history and writers as well for this project that could help give it shape.
I can't pay anyone sadly, I can barely afford to live, but I would like to work together with people and hopefully help expand portfolios and bring these games closer to proof of concept.
