In that case, which i understand (company and public laws, etc.), I would suggest changing only necessary, demanded, things. I'm playing this type of games since few years, seen some very good and few very bad. If we look at 2 examples of the good ones, HHGuild tries to be perfect form the start, but we had to wait for remake, and now we wait years for updates. There is the other one with different approach, Corrupted Kingdoms, high quality, but often updates with small steps - players feel its alive and they have something to keep their interest... Just saying... :)
Also, i kinda like that gloomy, depressive atmosphere of Ur game, as I'm in that world quite some years myself, and not many games have that mood.
Cheers
Yes, navigating is a pain, especially town parts. For me, story is ok, some repetitive stuff are unavoidable, its a game after all, yet there is sometimes too much time to spend between events, and spending it in forest to gather stuff, makes MC strangely rich (but it happens in such games too). I think u shud concentrate on making better scenes and other stuff when making game further, going back to start is a waste of time, for You and for players.
