The monster has a 5-second delay before it starts chasing and attacking. Just run inside and go straight to the 2nd floor—the aggro will be gone by then. Thanks for playing the game! :)

I tried the game again, and it works fine. I can select the cross in the inventory.

Note: The first level is meant for listening to the transmission. The player can then move on to Chapter 2. Just listen for a few seconds to learn about your mission. Player movement is disabled in the first chapter; after the transmission ends, the level will load into Chapter 2, and the player will be able to move.

I really like this game a lot. I don't know why, lmao. It's just that I feel like I'm totally alone in the world, and the aliens want me to guard their grocery store. This is a winner for me. Good job!
