I totally get your point. I've started developing some kind of clone(-ish) of it just for my friends using uNet (sadly matchmaking had been shut down, so dedicated server it is then), which I'll continue to work on for some time (and potentially publish). I thinks it's safe to say, that Karlson won't be released today or tomorrow...

"Your clones clone is your friend or something" (Jeff?)

Thanks for making this - its pretty milk of you sir!

We had fun playing it and everything looks clean, but... it's a little hard to aim (you have to aim like 4 player-widths in front of a moving player). I'm not sure if it's due to the physics based bullet or latency from the network (and I won't invest more time figuring it out - nice obfuscation :) ). Anyway, if it's the physics thing, the bulletmovement could be more visible, if it's the latency, here a crappy idea: What if you perform the hitdetection on the shooting client? I know it's generally a terrible solution (really hackable and lags give advantages), but it would make it a lot more responsive. (Or give us access to the source code, but I know - a lot of work went into it...)

Anyway, cool project!

This was pretty cool! I love the graphics and it's not tooooo scary. Especially the fact, that you're constantly revealing a bit more of the room is really interesting. And... I just like green! (Sry, this had to be :) ) - I'll definitely force my friend to play this!

Thanks in advance!

INTERCEPT community · Created a new topic Server Build

Hi!

I wanted to ask, whether it would be possible to get a headless build for a linux server. I'm not sure if this is easily possible with Unreal, since I'm from a Unity background. While Hamachi does work fine, I would love to host a server on my Linux machine (and if possible be abled to run it from the console, since the server has no monitor), so that me and my friend could easily play Intercept.
