Day 11 (Tuesday 6 July):

Today I made the first boss fight, level select, and boss fight music.

Day 10 (Monday, 5 July):

I'm writing this on day  11 because I forgot to do it yesterday. On day 10 I made all the levels except for the boss fights, added another enemy, and I added the pause and game over menus.

Day 9 (Sunday, 4 July, 4:54 PM):

Its the 4th of July, but I'm not american or live in america so I just spent today so far making the first level of the campaign mode, and making the freeplay mode. The good thing about making everything in a game by yourself is that if you dont want to do something, you don't have to. I'm getting tired of making the actual game, because I've been working on it since 10 AM, so I'm going to make music for now.

Day 8 (Saturday, 3 July, 5:57 PM):

The only things left I have to do are make the story mode and make the music. I'm going to start with the story mode today, so that I can make the music for it later.

Day 7 (Friday, 2 July, 5:45 PM):

Today so far, I made the title screen music and a new mechanic where you have limited bullets, and killing an enemy regains one.

Update: I might post an early version of the game later today, but idk yet.

Day 6 (Thursday 1 July, 2:00 PM):

I finished the title screen today. I also found out why the enemies werent working, it turns out I just had to remove a couple lines of code. Now I'm going to improve the enemies, because right now all they do is go towards the player, so you can just shoot forever and kill them. So I'm going to try and make them more intelligent, even though I've never done or attempted anything like that. I'll update this if I end up finishing it.

Day 5 (Wednesday 30 June, 10:23 PM):

Today I was going to make the background scroll so that it looks like your moving, but i couldnt export the animation so that I couldnt put it in the game. So instead I started working on the title screen, but its pretty simple so it hopefully wont take long, though I probably wont have enough time to finish it today bc its so late.

Day 4 (Tuesday 29 June, 3:40 PM):

I added more directions for shooting, balanced the difficulty and made the game window bigger so that theres more space to move. Next I'm going to make a tutorial, add powerups, and start working on other levels.

6:36 PM:

The enemies stopped working for some reason, so now I have to figure out why. But I couldn’t get enough sleep yesterday, so now I’m tired and confused.

Day 3 (Monday 28 June, 2:04 PM): 

  I made the enemy chase and shoot at you. I'm hoping to have a demo ready in a day or 2, so that I can get some feedback.

Day 2 (Sunday 27 June, 8:27 PM):

I couldn't sleep that much, so I didnt have that much time to work today so far.  I added the enemy and some other mechanics. The idea for my game is that you're a human trying to take down the aliens that have taken over earth, which kind of fits in with the theme because you're "freeing" everyone. Yesterday I visited my cousin so the only things i could do were add the player movement and shooting.

Day 1 (Saturday 26 June, 2:43 PM):

This is going to be the first game im uploading online. I'm struggling to think of an idea for my game.  The theme feels too vague, but it's the only thing that helps me think of an idea. I havent had breakfast yet, so im going to eat something and come back later.

3:22 PM:

  I have an idea for a game now, it should be pretty easy to make, so hopefully I'll be able to finish it before the time limit.
