Yes, in the beginning of the game, when population grows by 1, workforce will also grow by one. But then on one of the streams the players suggested to add an upgrade, which would increase workforce growth. So, if you have workforce growth of 1.2, then when your population grows by 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, ... the workforce will grow by 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1,...

Happy that you liked the game :) Why I didn't reset the tasks when the game is reset is because I thought of tasks like "have x prestige of type" or "restart N times". But I think I found a solution: when the game restarts I'll just allow a manual task discard immediately. Also will look at the rewards and requirements rebalansing

In v.1.6.2 the save function will be called every 30 seconds

Thank you so much for the report! I think I can add a custom mouse pointer sprite to the game, also will check the saving algorithm. As of now the safe function is called when the game window is deactivated (including when the close query is started)

Oh, thank you you for the comment. In fact, the game has plenty of mechanisms to automate science, they are unlocked once you build a bridge and reach the far bank of the river. I'll think how to make some of them available early.

Oh, I have to investigate how to build the Mac version. I know that my development tool (Harman AIR) allows it, but I did not look at the details. I'll try to do it and if everything goes well I'll upload the Mac build, too

Six years ago I decided to start a quick game jam for myself to try an idea of a game where the player would connect and rotate cogwheels. This had turned into Steampunk Idle Spinner game.

I keep updating the game and this week I added new machines and made interface and tutorial adjustments.

Yes, I did not mention about prestige, but I totally should. Also, I'm going to modify the formula and the code to avoid the players being stuck. 

Well, yes, it was a gamejam entry for serious games. You had to combine vinegar with soda, and see that a match put to it gets extenguished.

It runs effectively on anything: I tried to launch it even on a 12-years old PC, it worked well, too :)

Hi! We've released this game on the 10th Oct after about 1 month of work. Could you, please, check it and share your impressions? 

Our actual hackathon submission is Cats Bank game, which we started on the 1st of November (couldn't have started earlier, as we stayed in the hospital since 13th Oct).
