Thank you! Really happy to hear that! :D I hope this brings new possibilities!

He he, I already checked your page, and added the game to my collection, to test it out when I have some time :D Hopefully that will be during the weekend :) It really looked like something up my alley!

Hmmm, I don't know what's missing in terms of assets or things to do, because I only played a part of the demo. In my opinion, it just doesn't feel good, the controls were really clunky, especially when going through the UI. I don't remember if there also weren't any tooltips? But I might be mistaking it for another game. and there's no clear sense of direction in the beginning. That's just what I remember, I haven't played it since the demo first came out. But to summarise, smooth movement, clear tooltips and good UI usage are essential to a decent game :) It doesn't matter how good the mechanics are, if it just doesn'g run smoothly. If you do make a similar game, please let me know, I would love to try it out! I'm a huge fan of farming rpgs :D

Ha ha, good point! :D Except this one is set on a more alien feeling planet, with the sludge green waters, and lots of alien vegetation :) But I could see it incorporated there! I've had that game on my wishlist forever, but I played the demo and it feels like something's missing, not sure what.. Hoping there will be more updates. Thank you, and hope it's useful and fun to use!

Hi everyone!

I have finally uploaded the second update for the Alien Lands pixel asset pack, that contains a total of 68 animations!

Since this is such a big update, I also started a 25% sale on this pack, that runs until 21.03.2023!

You can grab it at https://akannis.itch.io/alien-lands-asset-pack

The update has the missing 4-directional animations for all character variations, and I also added one animated alien enemy: character death, damage and attack animations; enemy idle, walk, attack, damage and death animations, and also separate spritesheets for each animation type (the character attack also has a spritesheet without the weapon included), and one spritesheet for the weapon (a laser gun type), with 4-directional sprites, an inventory icon, and all firing effect sprites for each frame, also 4-directional (in case you want to make the range longer)

I hope you'll find this update useful for your projects, take care!

In my mind, when creating the pack, I imagined that there used to an alien civilisation there, but they're extinct now. Very original, I know :))) But I like that trope :)

Thank you! Pun intended? :D Yeah, that was the point. I love how regular wooden furniture looks, but on an alien planet it should be different :)

Hi everyone!

I just uploaded the first update for the Alien Lands Asset Pack, you can check the pack at the link below:

https://akannis.itch.io/alien-lands-asset-pack

The update has a total of 75 assets, containing more furniture variation, split in 2 spritesheets: a new colour (orange) for all assets that could have fabric, and a wood variation, for all items that could be made out of wood. Here's 2 new screenshots, to showcase them.

Please note that the wood on this planet is teal, and so is the furniture.

No unique assets were added, just the colour variation.

The next update will be the missing character animations, and one fully animated enemy. I'm hoping that one will come out faster than this one, as I already started work on it.

Thanks for checking it out, take care!

I have to say the atmosphere got me hooked! It's dark and mysterious, with a great sound design, love the intro theme! The general mood takes me bach to D1 and D2. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see the next build!

Thank you, hope you'll find cool uses for it! :D Wow, that's indeed a great idea! No promises about the interior, but as a prop, I think I might just make the exterior in a future update! :D

Oh, that would be a good idea, thanks for the suggestion! :D This pack will still get at least the updates in the description, as I consider them essential myself :) Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you! :D At least one alien creature is on my list for future updates. I'll consider other biomes (I'll put in on my list), but I can't make any promise on that yet. If I decide to do it, I'll definitely add it to the pack :)

(1 edit)

Thank you so much!! I did try to make something that seemed to be not so common. I hope the updates will make it more rounded!

Hey everyone!

I have just launched my latest asset pack, and it's the biggest one yet! Alien Lands is a pixel art asset pack themed around an alien planet, containing 600+ assets, listed below.

You can chet it out at https://akannis.itch.io/alien-lands-asset-pack

Here's a list of what you'll get:

- lots of exterior and interior tilesets, with terrain details for the exterior ones

- lots of vegetation (trees, bushes, crops with growth stages)

- bedroom, livingroom and kitchen furniture and appliances, with 4 directional placement

- lots of resources, like wood, rocks, ores, ingots, with tools to harvest them

- inventory icons for all the resources and tools (and toolbar and inventory  UI icons)

- 6 characters (1 female and 1 male, each in 3 colours), with 4-directional idle and walk animations.

The pack is still in development, with more things to come: some missing interior tiles, a weapon, death and attack animations, some colour variation for the furniture, and possibly other unplanned things as well!

Since this coincides with the Christmas sale, you can get this pack at 50% off, or even a little less, bundled with my other packs!

Check it out, hope you enjoy it!

Thanks! I'm glad you like it, and hope it'll help with your projects :D

Thank you! I hope it'll be useful! :D

Hello!

I just released a small free platformer/sidescroller asset pack.

You can check it out and download it here:

https://akannis.itch.io/starter-platformer-set

It contains the starter essentials for a platforming/sidescoller game: a small platformer tileset, a small water tileset, 2 layer background, with a tileable layer, some objects like trees, grass, mushrooms, and a few more.

Hope you like it!

It's actually both, depending on the region :) "Colorful" and "colors" are US spelling, and more people speak US english than brittish, so I tried to not trigger the larger segment :)))) I personally use the brittish spelling, usually. Also, I am not a native speaker, so I never know which spelling to use, in what context :)

Hello everyone!

I've just released my pixel Colorful potions asset pack!

It contains 156 sprites, in various shapes, colors and sizes. All the sprites have 3 size variant: 8x8, 16x16 and 32x32, and come in cute, bright colors, but also with empty variants.

This pack could cover all your needs for a variety of genres of the pixelated kind, from platformers to RPGs or top-down games.

Please check it out at https://akannis.itch.io/colorful-potions!

Have fun, and take care! :)

Hi! I just released my Cool Furniture Sets pixel pack.

It contains about 100 assets: beds, dressers, couches, armchairs, chairs, desks, tables, cofee tables, carpets (including 2 tileable ones), and a variety of decorations.

Most of the furniture can be combined into matching sets (or not), giving the option to make cool setups.

The objects are perfect for bedrooms, living rooms or libraries/studies.

You can check it out here: https://akannis.itch.io/cool-furniture-pack
