I wanted to argue that the author wasn't paying attention to current generation JRPGs, then I looked over at my 3DS and remembered Grinsia just came out recently....
... now maybe I think this should be something all JRPG developers have to play, as a cautionary tale, before developing their next story.
Though you could've used more titles than just X-COM to make your point.
