I made a game for this jam, but my concept is actually bigger than what I managed to present. However, I want to develop this project, and I feel that the game is missing something. I would like to get your suggestions on what can be added to the game to make it more engaging.

1) I plan to add a journal where the forensic expert's actions and notes will be recorded.

2) Of course, I will add other scenes, objects, and characters.

3) Graphics will be improved.

What else can be added to make the gameplay more interesting? Just no mini-games, I feel they're never appropriate :)

Here is the game:

Thank you for the feedback! I actually wanted to make a notebook with notes of already obtained information, but just ran out of time. Regarding interaction with objects - the thing is that interactions depend on each other. If you interacted with the knife, an additional dialogue becomes available near the tree. Until you approached the knife, the additional dialogue near the tree is unavailable. This is done to show that everything is connected. And the forensic expert walks back and forth to figure out what's going on.

Regarding sprites - since I made the whole game alone (except for the music, which was written by my friend), I was just afraid of not having time to do all the work if I spent too long on graphics. Moreover, this was my first time ever drawing pixel art. I'll take your feedback into account to make the game better, but probably won't have time to do it during the jam.
