Just updated the game to fix a bug with Encore & Halt (Aka Disable), someone in the Pokemon Reddit found. Please let me know if you find any other bugs!

BTW, my Gen 2 battle system is finished and on itch. It also has MissingNo with the upgrades we talked about last year, and a harder horde mode :)

I just released Picodex Dual, another battle sim, but for GSC!!!! Play it on itch.io here: https://alanxoc3.itch.io/picodex-dual

Yeah, It is very brutal.

We didn’t even have a game until the last 30 minutes. A button masher was the only thing we could finish.

Sounds like a title screen with waves and a little character walking along the beach. Good song.

Wow, you’re right. I didn’t notice he learns water gun twice until now.

I’m making another Picodex that includes gen 2. So it will be fixed in that one. I think I’ll also combine the best base stats of the yellow and red version missingnos to make it better.

The Yellow version missingno also learns payday & bind. And the M(00) pokemon learns pound. So I can include those moves too.

Beat Horde mode! Here is the spoiler:

I don’t got mad chansey skillz. But good game anyways :D

Yeah, totally makes sense. I think making enemies not attack if they’re off screen might have helped. Or maybe making the sprites smaller.

The screen size is a limitation of pico-8 though :(

Wow! I can’t get better than 20! :(

This game is really good.

Agreed with everyone. Really good, but very hard.

Fun game! Nice add to have multiple genders for the avatar.

I think I won. I got rid of all the green, then started creating green, then made it fill the entire screen and have it disappear.

Fun game.

… :)

The nostalgia was just too great. This was one of the best Stadium 2 minigames.

I liked the idea you had of incorporating pixel art from the handheld games rather than going with the original 3-d look.

Anyways, great job & I look forward to possibly another Stadium minigame demake! (maybe…)

@virtual-nomad. I added it. I guess it was just an option in itch, so super easy. Enjoy.

LOL, you win the award for beating the game after you already beat it. Congrats!

I think your $999 playthrough deserves a fullscreen option. I’ll try to figure that out in the next few hours.

Haven’t checked itch in a while (I need to subscribe to notifications), so sorry about that.

I haven’t checked itch in a while, sorry.

I deleted my twitter account in favor of mastodon.

My mastodon account is @alanxoc3@tilde.zone. Updating itch/ldjam to reflect that now.

Thanks for playing the game though!

My high score is 1439!!! Loved the aesthetics & chill music.

@UnitVector, that was actually a plan originally! But we ran into time constraints. I really want to have some sort of shop too if we extend this.

@Swayam2004, I added a windows version for you :). Thanks for playing.

Hey, thanks for playing :). Unfortunately, you can’t recover your lost data if you did the factory reset.

Also, the secret Pokemon is actually “bird” type, which is really funny. Bird type has no type resistance/advantage.

Yeah, most psychic type Pokemon were also overpowered in the gen1 games.

Lol, I don’t think I can make a sequel to an already perfect game.

Fantastic re-creation of the anime commercial break!

Awesome game. Really fun interpretation of the limitation. Simple, but good controls and gameplay. Also, the song was an absolute banger. Seriously great work!

Great game. A Simple shooter with a fun premise. I wish dash recharged faster, and I also wish the enemies were just a little more visible. I also think this game would be awesome with powerups or upgrades.

Overall great submission!

Glad you liked it!

Took a little bit to realize I couldn’t kill things by dashing into them if I was standing right next to them. Also took a while before I realized I could dash into the arrow shooters. Sometimes when I did dash into the arrow shooters, I still died. Once I got the hang of it, the game was very nice! The level design was overall pretty good. I love the feeling the dash mechanic has. The music also felt suiting for a puzzle game. Another small thing is maybe I wish the boxes were a little easier to control.

Overall, great game!

Glad you liked it. We had a lot of space to make levels haha. There are actually 50 of them, so it’s a good thing you stopped early. In retrospect, probably a bit excessive.

Love these types of games. The idea of a rock skipping itself is awesome. Love the visuals and upgrades, though I couldn’t quite get the timing down of skipping, so I ended up just spamming space bar lol.

Overall great entry. A lot of fun :)

I had a lot of fun playing this game. Initially, I loved acting based off my opponents’ moves. Waiting for their attacks, dodging, then following up with a slap. As I played, I ended up just spam clicking slap as my first move, which worked more often than not.

The guy throwing people off screen when they lose was also an amazing addition.

Overall Great Entry!

Glad you liked it!

Have you ever wanted to play a game as a crab with a big sword? Probably not, but we made one anyway!

Check out our game if you have time!

Very nice game. For me, it was a little unclear that I was supposed to go for multiple fish on a hook. Once I realized that though, It was a lot easier lol. I loved upgrading and going a little deeper, catching different fish. Gameplay was very relaxing as a fishing game should be, though it was just challenging enough.

Overall, Great submission!
