A little birdie told me that they're doing a 2nd print run soon. Don't tell anyone.

Yep, that card is also exclusive. We needed to fill the back of one of the Shop Cards, so that one was created for the set.

Hello! Unfortunately Adventure Mode and the Exclusive cards are all locked to the Game of the Month Edition. I won't be able to release those. I did release a separate set of Boss Cards that could be used with Adventure Mode on the Patreon and under Patreon goodies. While the Adventure Mode rules aren't available, there are YouTube videos that describe how that mode works.

Check out https://www.patreon.com/ShenbotMakesLabs if you haven't! There's a free tier and any of the design things I talk about always drop for all members. Thanks again for playing!

Thanks so much for playing! Y'all are crushing my high scores.

It's a great point! I'm actually working on the next iteration of MCD, where the VP and leveling rules are slightly different. Also the Monsters themselves change. Looking forward to sharing it with y'all soon!

That fall on the second level to the pit below because it was off screen! You are sneaky.

I, in fact, would download a boat. This is gold.

Howdy! It stays at 0. Fortunately in the world of QOC, you can't go into debt!

You may choose to use this card or discard it. Using the Beetle Juice card allows you to flip one face down Beetle card face up.

18 cards (2x 9-card identical decks)

Here is the rule for damage:

  1. Calculate Damage: monster level - your level = damage to you, with a minimum of 0. Example: Monster Level 5 - Your Level 3 = 2 Damage to you.

This means if your Level is the same or more than the Monster, the Monster can no longer to damage to you. This means the monster is defeated.

Here is the rule on attacking monsters:

  1. Calculate Damage: monster level - your level = damage to you, with a minimum of 0. Example: Monster Level 5 - Your Level 3 = 2 Damage to you.

This means if your level is the same or more than the Monster, the monster is defeated because it can no longer to damage to you.

If you have the Jump Boots, you can jump over the spike pits.

If you have the Grappl'n Hook, you can shoot in a straight line (no diagonals) to that post (bongo) and reach that area.

Yep! Should be quite straight forward once you start playing. The only main difference is starting in Adventure 02 the letters don't match exactly as written (mainly because you can approach the same room from different directions).

If you ever get confused, match the room you're coming from with the little letter in the bottom corner.

Yeah, I realized that once I made Adventure 02. That's why there's a little letter on the bottom corner now so you can match. It does look kinda funky, admittedly.

I'll have to check out Mazescape! I wasn't aware of it and it looks very cool.

You're absolutely right. Updated again. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for pointing this out! The error is actually with how the backs match up for the Discoveries and Items. Right now it's matching Item 01 (Jump Boots) as Discovery 02 and Item 02 (Grappl'n Hook) as Discovery 03. This makes solving it impossible, as you said. I'm going to fix that right now.

They should really fire the quality control person on this game!

Thanks for the thoughtful and thorough comment! I think I did it right. I just applied the MIT License and added to the repo. Learning something new everyday!

Wow, thanks for the kind words! Let me take a look to see what I can find in my files. I'm sure the assets are around here somewhere! If I find them I'll post them on this page.

Sure! This link expires in 7 days: https://discord.gg/f8ddZP8q

Admittedly I'm not on Discord very often. Still not a part of my normal day to day.

Nope! When those habitable areas are calculated the first time, you've essentially drawn lines to create the walls to tell you how many squares it is.

Thanks for playing!

Hello! When you set up the Marketplace, arrange the cards in each column in descending order with the top card being the highest. Cards of the same value may be placed next to each other.

Thanks for playing the game! The difficulty doesn't really increase. These little games are like crossword puzzles you see in the newspaper. They're typically around the same difficulty, but different each day/

Looks right! I've certainly played where I had to discard tiles, so maybe it was good luck or you are very good at grouping! I'd like to know how subsequent scores go for you. Thank you for playing!

You are drawing 7 tiles at a time, yes? You can try constricting it to 4 tiles at a time to see if that adds a challenge.

Good question! It’s more so you don’t let yourself lose to get the special condition, but rather you were not successful with the quest but could get a consolation prize with the special condition.

So the card backs correspond to the dice that match (e.g. green back = green card). Since they're to match dice, you'd print out 6 cards for each die because there are 6 sides on a die. The difference of the pancake backs and blank backs is so you could separate your cards from the monster cards.

If you look at the single sheets, you'll see the distribution of faces to the backs.

I can see why this is confusing for multiple reasons!

So your Active Party Member has a bunch of symbols beneath it. They correspond to different dice, which are also colored on the right side. So if you see a white, blue, and blue - that means the dice this monster uses is a white die, a blue die, and a blue die.

Does that make sense?

Of course! Enjoy!

Hello! The original intent was you could use fractions, but I hadn’t intended to use DIV. For the sake of consistency, I’m going to officially say that you can’t. But hey! House rules. Whatever allows you to enjoy the game!

I'm going to finish the last of the QOC expansions with a December Patreon release. It's the final chapter for this game as its been supported for the last two years. Thanks for checking it out!

Hello! If you're a Digital or Digital+ member on Patreon, you should be able to access this link: https://alexandershen.itch.io/quests-over-patreon/patreon-access

I couldn't find your name in the membership list, but maybe I missed something!

Thanks for playing!

Hello! Environments are introduced in the expansion "Science Shmience". Companions are introduced in the expansion "Enemies". You'll find some of those cards there.

Thanks! You're cool!

wow that’s so great! I’m glad that you’re enjoying it and teaching it to others! Thanks for playing!

Thanks for the heads up! I just uploaded a new version.

Hello! Thanks for playing the game! Those Gamefound cards are exclusive to that publisher, so I don't have the rights to redistribute those or what's really on them. I understand the need and want to be a completionist and I know I don't make it easy. The only thing I can think of is contacting Gabe at BestWith1 and see if the print-and-play version of the game is still available.
