Alien Arena 7.71.6 has been released!

Several updates have been done:

• There is now a filter in the server list to show active servers only
• It's easier to see the number of real players in the server list, it's now much less confusing, see image below
• The server list sorts on player count + ping by default
• The newsfeed can show colors now
• The antilag code has been optimized

There was a bug that when you launched Alien Arena via the Alien Arena Installer, that it always used a fixed resolution 1024 x 768 instead of what you specified in the Alien Arena Installer, unless you manually changed the resolution setting in the game to "Custom".

The Alien Arena Installer will now force mode "Custom" when launching.

Yes, I got a suggestion that people would probably like more customization, that is now possible with all those custom skins like tron, flames, ripper, etc. There are many.

Alien Arena 7.71.5 is available now. If you used the Alien Arena Installer, just click the Update button to update to 7.71.5.

What's new:

• The player setup will handle classic player models better.
• To install classic player models, there is a new command installmodel.

Four classic player models including all their custom skins (and there are a lot of skins) are available again for installation.

It's recommended to install all of them at once, because you don't know which ones other players are using. That can be done using the installmodel command from the console inside the game.

You can also install them individually:

After that you can select them in the player setup. Important: for other players to be able to see them, they also need to install these model packs.

It's not a new game, but the Alien Arena Installer for Windows is new, and this is the easiest way there is to install, update and launch Alien Arena.

Summary of the game:
It's an ultra fast-paced, old-school arena FPS. We play CTF daily with a group of friends. And sometimes an intense insta match or a tourney.
Single player against bots is possible too. There are many 3rd party maps available.
