The character sprites did indeed take a little more than 2 days to complete and took away a lot of our time, so much so that I had regrets dedicating so much time to it, instead of focusing the effort on other aspects of the game. So I'm thankful for your comment. Neither of us is an artist, so to create the character sprite sheet I took a lot of inspiration (almost copying frame by frame) from this gif, which resulted in that "sharp and snappy" feeling you're talking about. Again it means a lot to us that you liked it.
The player character is definitely scaled up, because the rest of the art is not out own and it looked too small otherwise, definitely a lesson learned for the future.
Same with the bugs, a lack of planification and overconfidence made us neglect the testing fase and we found the bugs hours before submiting the game, when we were too tired to fix them. Taking notes for the next one.

Hahaha. First of all thank you for playing the game and we're glad you enjoyed it. At first we had moles in the game, but ended up using rabbits. The first thought that came to my mind when we did the change: "Wow! Killing rabbits is fucked up". So yeah you're totally right xD. We even tried to make it less cruel by having the points pop up in brightful colors.
The game looks so promising and unique. Sadly I find myself unable to progress past the first page from the book. What am I supposed to do with the black hole? It is not eating any of the words.
