It's been a little over a year now, since I put this demo up. I don't generally release my work for people to see or try as it's either very unfinished, or I just assume nobody will enjoy it. I haven't forgotten about it, though there was little interest in it, it's something I still really want to make, life has just been kicking my butt lately.

Now, I debated about this for most of the day as I guess it would be considered unprofessional... but at the end of the day, I'm a human being just like most everyone else, so I figured I'd make this little post to express my genuine gratitude toward the individual who recently paid what would be roughly the price of an actual full release game. First off, they are the first person to have ever paid anything for any game project I have made, so as silly as it sounds, it's very special to me, just to think that maybe someone really liked what I made, and that makes me very happy. Which leads to the other point I wanted to make... I haven't really been doing the best, life wise, money wise and just overall, really. So, when I had seen that someone was generous enough to spend some of their hard earned money on me, it just... it really made my day. It made me really think about the things I make and that maybe I can do something well enough, that will make others happy... After all, that's all I've really ever wanted to do. And so with that, I might start looking through my older stuff and maybe finally putting it up, most of it for free of course, other than a few asset things I've made.

This isn't something I'm going to do again, or at least I don't plan on it... But, just on the off-chance that whoever it was will see this, I just want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you. I can't truly express how grateful I am.

Sorry for lifting the veil, but I really believe that since this is the only way I am able to say thank you, that I should. And I would like to extend it further, and offer my thanks to anyone that has tried the game, it's nice to see time to time, the little download bar go up.

Anyway, thank you again, I hope everyone takes care of themselves and has a wonderful day.

Oh thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words :) I'll do my best to respond to your suggestions in order!

1. That is very true, and ACTUALLY something I already have implemented, but the thing that says "Please Pretend I'm Pretty" is an image the same colour as the background that's just covering it for the time being! :) The lights are a good idea! And it would be very simple to have a setting to adjust them :) I most certainly do want to add some voice lines for winning the slots/roulette :)))

2. That's a fabulous idea that I love. :D

3. I like the idea of having an analogue counter for the balls, maybe even with an audible click as the numbers change~! :O And yes the edges of the machine and such are something I am most definitely going to do!

4.  A wonderful idea! And quite honestly something that I was already planning! My next table was going to be kind of an... Aztec ruin sort of thing, where you would have to get the balls into certain slots to rotate the board and click 3 big wheels into place, and then it would press in and a giant head would come out and you'd have to put as many balls into his mouth as you can! :D (Official parlour term, btw.)

I really appreciate your comment very much, I have unfortunately had very little time to work on the parlour lately but your kind words and excitement are very inspiring, thank you so very much. :)

And for the last question, I use GameMaker Studio 2, coding in the GML language.

I hope you have a wonderful day, as you've most certainly improved mine! :)))

Got some cool ideas that you'd like to give to the parlour, free of charge? Please post them here! :)

Please post any bugs you encounter here, and I'll do my best to scoop them up and put them outside.
