Ah, thanks for clearing that up!

How do I access part 1 of the Demo? The download only includes part 2.

😂

Hey, I can't figure out what the goal is? Am I trying to get to the big guy or avoid him? What is the narrative incentive?

This was fun! On my second match I discovered I could just endlessly level up by pressing 'e' so I got tons of high-level followers, but I think there is a very solid base here. I would focus on polishing the communication of what is currently in the game before adding anything new. I can tell there are a lot of interesting ideas but have no idea what half of them are.

Wow! Great progress from your last game. I enjoyed it a lot - got to level 5. Definitely an interesting take on the shooter mechanic, turning the world instead of the player. The kills were very satisfying and friendly fire for the enemies was a nice touch! It does get a bit repetitive once you get the hang of it, so I'd encourage you to add more interesting enemies or powerups or obstacles/level layouts to keep the spice. I would definitely play an upgraded version!

The progression felt thought out and the last level was cool how you had to reverse at the end.

Regarding the time indicator - having it be on the player is good, but it needs to be very clear just by glancing at it. Since it is small and moves slowly I did not notice that it was dynamic until I studied it closely. Maybe using some globally recognized design for fuel could help (though it's time not fuel...)

I made it!

I like the improvements from your last game, namely in graphics and music. There was also more interesting level design in this one, too.

It took me a while to figure our that there was a time limit and to understand what the indicator was. I think the game is hard enough without the time limit, though it does add a hectic nature. Probably requires some tweaking.

Good job!

Very cool concept!

I beat level 3! And the whole game!

I definitely didn't get it before I wrote the first comment. Was playing as if it was asteroids. Once it clicked I was able to beat the rest of the game. Very cool mechanic! I think you need to better communicate how it works though :)

Great little demo! Especially for your first attempt at making something, I think it's great that you kept it simple and you're able to deliver an interesting challenge nonetheless.

I couldn't get past the third level - looks like the energy drains at an uncontrollable rate? I don't know if it's a bug or not.

Otherwise I think the gameplay is super solid and what would be amazing to add to the experience is a ton of Juice. Do you know what Juice is? If not, we have a whole video about it on the MakeGamesJLM Youtube channel:

Start adding layers and layers of juice and this could be a masterpiece.

Keep it up!

The fact that you have to go left at the start *chef's kiss*

Great concept & execution. Enjoyed it!

Got 33! Really clever and well designed for 6.5 hours! Reminds me of Press Ctrl.

🥳

Not bad! I love the take on classic flappy bird format. Could definitely see this working in a hyper-casual context if that's what you're going for.

Love it.

Awesome Xonix-like! Brings a modern twist to the classic and multiplayer to boot! You have to play the first few levels before it teaches you the capture mechanic, and then the nostalgia sets in hard! Good job looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Wow! Love the graphics update! Great sounds as well, and particles!

Was it the clown?? I can't figure it out :( Must get to the bottom of this...

It's an awesome MVP! I played a bit and it's got a good foundation. Only two comments:

1) Weapon reload time should be faster (since you can't stay in the location very long before getting swarmed)
2) Even slower slowdown when selecting function.

If you make it easier now and focus on making it fun, then when you want to up the difficulty you can revert those two things.

Just my opinion. Hope it was helpful!

I lol'd at the ending 🤣

Starting to get the hang of it.

1 thought for improvement - when leaving the map by mistake, if the controls are breaking randomly, somehow make sure the turning doesn't break first? While still learning the game this would be a little more forgiving. I know I can fix it but I panic and try turning and die.

Been following your work for a while. This game is gorgeously simple and executed brilliantly. Can't wait to see where it goes from here!

Love the vibes of this game!

Is it just me or are the beats a little bit off compared to the melody?

A quick suggestion for improvemet: my eyes are focused on the line where I need to press, so it's hard to tell if I'm hitting/missing since the feedback is in the center of the screen. I recommend giving the feedback close to the focal point (as well as the growing plant so I can watch it grow while I play!)

Great job guys!

I get this error when I try to run the game :(

Fantastic. Great work as always Lonebot. Can't believe you got it this polished and 15 well-balanced levels in one jam. It's an honor to share a country with you :D

(1 edit)

Damn you Idan

Oh man this is great! Remind me of having to move between stations in Lover's In A Dangerous Spacetime. Simple concept, fantastic execution, 10/10 will recommend.

Love the water effect. Very chill. I can run forever and never get bored.
