I know this ain't really the forum for that, but I'm moderately confused about a game mechanic.

Sometimes the cubus (as in the player character) gets their own pleasure bar and everything. That's really cool, but I'm really lost how to trigger that. Is that a specific set of transformations for each recruit, or random which recruits do it, or not, or just specific types of recruit do it, or what? Is there a way to either find out which recruits can do it, or which transformations trigger it for which recruit somehow (like, I dunno, sending minions to dig up intel, or perhaps invading their dreams or something), or something?

Depends on what you mean by relationship, and who do you mean. A romp in the sheets? Sure. A relationship as in emotions? Dude, you can't even remember the characters name, how invested are you exaclty? Like 2? 5? Out of a 100?

Colour me impressed, I stand corrected, 0.17 will in fact drop for everyone before July.

There are patron-only cheat codes if memory serves, which, while I am aware of most of them, they can 1) brick your save if you don't know what you're doing 2) are patron only for a reason, so I'm not going to reveal them.

What I will tell you though, that if you simply skip everything (by either holding down the control key or enabling all skipping options in the menu and toggling it on on android/pc) you'll get through the entire game in less than 3 hours, unlock every scene and every repeatable scene with every character. So that's what I advise you to do.

If you want to still read the story, just get more money, spam the hourglass icon on the top left of the screen, that's the skip time button, and sleep. You get a minimal amount of money for every day passed, and you can reinvest it into the hotel, and then get weekly money from the upgrade in addition to the daily money, which does increase with each additional girl.

I don't think Kali hates Android, I think she moderately fears Android, which, to be fair, is still a comical understatement of the danger, as an emotional robot capable of perceiving through half the bloody internet, being able to lift a car, and shoot her from over the horizon with a rifle living next to her, and being involved in the harem, is not exactly a safe and stable sounding combination. I mean, for all intents and purposes, they are one glitch or one tempertantrum away from having the kitchen sink literally torn from the wall and be chucked at their noggin. This, combined with Android being almost as impulsive as Ashley when it comes to rejection, would leave me scared shitless too if I was in the same zipcode as this ticking Skynet waiting to happen, let alone sleeping regularly literally in front of cameras watched by it.

0.16.2 is already out. Unless you become a supporter, playing 0.17 before July is unlikely. In my opinion at least, I'm not Runey, but Patreon supporters get early access to beta builds (which is the stage 0.17 is in) and already done builds (depending on how much you pay, it can be weeks).

An older save is perfectly fine, and will be fine for any future updates (excluding an engine change), since the Renpy engine works like that. And an engine change at this point is... unlikely to put it mildly.

I think the definition of cheating would be "having sex outside of the relationship", which in this case is, what, like a dozen or so women and a guy. Atypical relationship, but hey, considering that some of the women are literally not even human (Lin is an elf, Maria is half, and Ashley is debatable, Android is not even biological, but just because they are not Homo Sapiens, that doesn't make them not people), it's not exactly an exclusive club to be fair.

Ahm, knowing the story, and how interconnected it is, I don't see how is that even supposed to make sense (despite me agreeing that Ashley should've been kicked from the hotel when she pulled a knife, and permanently barred from the rest of the story).

None of the stories are finished, because the game is far from done. 0.17 is on the way (as in it's in the final beta phase if memory serves), which will continue all main characters stories. Chill out, dude, it will be continued. But Runey does in fact working on it.

Okay, I'll bite, what do you mean by "papers"?

You mean she was conditioned to be an obedient slave for the better part of two and a half centuries? Yeah. That does a number on the psychology of any human-ish sentient being. I'm not saying it's irreversible (though I do think it probably is), but it might take longer than the lifespan of the main character to really treat Lin's developed issues.

If you want an interesting window into a similar situation, there is a book floating around containing interviews with former slaves after the US liberated them during their civil war. They... did not appreciate freedom, to put it mildly.

You could also just skip everything with the built-in skip function. It'll still take well over an hour tho, just the sheer amount of content is already bonkers, but hey, it is what it is.

I HOPE this is not a correct interpretation, but it kinda can be understood as Kali moving out of the Hotel. That's wrong tho, right?

Well, I'm still happy to provide feedback.

1) Making sex optional (---)
I'm still of the mind that it is Harem Hotel, not Wholesome-Family-Dinner Hotel. It's just a completely unnecessary monkey wrench in the entire development.

2) Objectives (---)

What to do in terms of further gameplay is I dare say never in question. Getting more money, advancing stories, that can be figured out by braindead chimpanzees. What to do to trigger the advancement of character stories (for example, how to trigger Moon level 1 event, to start her storyline) THAT'S causing the hangups, because that's often extraordinarily counter-intuitive. So no, the ways you described would be of no help whatsoever, even so far as it would be detrimental, because it would trick the player into thinking they did the right things to get X scene, and it would not achieve that.

3) Interactive Phone and Calendar (+)

That does indeed sound nice, I'm not really big on the whole "sending nudes" thing, I'm of the opinion that if I wish to see one nude, I'll go there and take off their clothes in person, but I'm not against it either, so I don't mind. The Calendar does look a tad... long tho. As in it takes ages to see someones birthday. But hey, unless you tie friendship events to it (like Ashleys), I'm sure it'll be fine.

4) Lounge Room (++)

Lounge on the 3rd floor is... well, I'm sorry, but bloody stupid. Lounges are on the ground floor typically for a reason, and that's precisely because 1) it's equally "inconvenient" for everyone, thus, a sort of neutral ground, and 2) it's the safest in terms of fire hazards, which are more present when it's in use. Considering that the hotel is already out in the middle of nowhere, I'm sure either buying 60+ square meters (or bald eagle screech per oil barrel, or whatever americans use) of land from the local council is not exactly a problem. In the 1800s in America land was literally given away for free on the condition that the new owner "improve" it somehow, so even just giving it away wouldn't be out of the ordinary for a developing continent. So just have the lounge be an extension of the ground floor (to the left in the screen I'd suggest).

My brother, you really need to make an exception for this game. There are no words in any language I speak that can describe the writing in this.

I've completed the story several times. Allow me to elaborate on that!

Ash is annoying to some (including me) because of she being extraordinarily needy and clingy. Not only that, but she does some... questionable things to put it mildly (for example, when she pulls a knife on Maria) that would pretty much get her ejected from most reasonable settings realistically. Some of us get really annoyed at a clingy, needy psycho who seemingly has minimal if any consequences for all of her negative traits.

That being said, her personality does reform to an extent, and removing her would necessitate the rewriting of extraordinarily large amounts in other story lines as well, not to mention it is addressed that her behaviour is out of line at times (like the knife situation is addressed), so I'd rather keep and ignore her.

TL;DR is that Ash has a personality that clashes poorly with some players. And this could be said for every other character. (If I begin to rant about Autumn I'll burst a blood vessel, she is a very well written religious person, and I fucking hate religion, so it's a me problem, not a criticism.)

I'm really not fond of this idea. While the garden would unlock around midgame, so that's a good spot for it, because you got the "free time" for it, but I'm just not sure how a Slaver-HotelManager-VigilanteCoverProvider-BasicallyTherapistForABunchOfWomen has time for that. And eat. Not to mention sleep occasionally. Especially since it's a temporary thing that Jin will take over anyway.

I mean, HAREM Hotel. Sex is very much central to the plot and the game, at that point, you'd be making 2 parallel games with vaguely similar characters.

Since nothing in the game is voice acted, nothing has sound effects, I just don't bother with listening and mute anyway, but if you want to, go nuts.

At a certain point you have to stop remaking content, dude. You'll NEVER be satisfied with the quality of your work, that's because you are an artist, and you are at the unique digital trap where previous generations artists were not, because in your art, the game, you can remake each and every frame one by one. But that's a trap, that way you'll never finish this game. You have to learn when to say "that's good enough", and leave it be. It is difficult, I know, I create stuff, and a lot of it goes into the garbage as well, but sometimes fixing an error, that seems at least moderate to you, which is inconsequential to the audience, simply stands in the way of progressing with the art towards the finish.

Remember when I said I welcome any new content? Well... problem is, the cast is already bigger than most character focused games I own. I genuinely think you've either reached or is close to the point where any more characters will be detrimental to the story and setting. I mean, you've got the Manager, Android, Felicity, Emma, Autumn, Lin, Kali, Ashley, Maria, which is already 8 main characters. For comparison, Battletech has the main character, Kamea Arano, Raju Montgomery, Santiago Espinosa, as main cast, and that's even arguable, since, Raju basically is not present for most of the game, as is Santiago. Granted, Battletech is not a visual novel, but the campaign is heavily story focused, so I think it is a fair comparison. Not to mention this will further compound your constant remaking of the game, even further delaying your progress, which I already think is the biggest issue with the game.

Current day modern hotels have the various machinery (heating, air conditioning, ventilation, fire suppression, server rooms, etc) in the top of the building, because if/when they explode, if they are in the basement, as traditional, the whole building might collapse, while the modern version, it'll only take off the roof (and some of these can be quite explosive). So if the hotel is taller on the outside than what you can account for on the inside, I think the various maintenance stuff is in there, it's just that Android is keeping an eye (and several cameras) on it, so we don't need to go there, ever.

Doesn't matter, for your content, the wait is worth it.

On one hand I understand that this is one of, if not the biggest visual novels in digital storage size on the market right now, but are you sure you want to fuck around with a random file downloaded from god knows where when the original high quality stuff is literally completely free and available right now?

Besides, there are valid criticism of both Runey and his work, but you just flat out lied here. Runey didn't insult you. Runey alluded that you are misrepresenting the story (and you do), but that's not an insult. He then wondered if you might be a troll, deliberately misrepresenting. Considering your grammar, I don't buy that idea. My idea is that you're not a troll, you just really, really did not understand Androids story. Kind of sad, but it is what it is.

For reference, I did insult you, and I won't claim otherwise.

I'd suggest to just turn on the skipping feature. You can get through the entire game in an hour. It's not like there are a lot of choices to be made. Just skip day until you can get the bar, build the bar, upgrade it to full, skip some more as you need money.

Sometimes the outfits get stuck. It will unstuck itself eventually (as in you need to do repeats of the scene, doing other stuff like waiting or other characters does not seem to help).

I know, that's why I wrote "Impatient grumbling". I know it's not reasonable. It's just that... this game manages to be virtually bug free (with small exceptions), regular updates, and quality content that so far always improved on the main game, was not detrimental (except if you preferred exhibitionism in the cafe to the beach, I suppose). This, by a solo dev, is objectively the best Early Access I've ever seen, heck, this is the best Early Access story I've ever heard of, or even could possibly conceive. Runey bloody spoils us is what I'm trying to get across.

To the Hotel Upgrades, I think I've got something. In an earlier post, I've mentioned that the game needs a money sink, and I've said a server room with purchased coolant would be good, as it would help Kali. However, that would also help Android, and now that I think about it, there is a LOT of things that it could expand into.

1) It could help Kali, as designing robotics is always easier with more processing power.

2) Android could use it, because she needs a lot of computing power, explained in her story.

3) Lin could use it, it could help the Owl Clan by interfering with the long distance comms of the soldiers that try to bully them, it would be possible to remotely check on the robots defending them.

4) Lucia could use it, perhaps her story could develop towards her being good with hardware stuff, so this could become her domain.

The fact that Autumn leads both polls with barely more than 10% of the votes is a testimony to your writing skills. You can write a lot of engaging characters.

I have 25K extra, mainly because I'm on day 476. I also usually grind all the way to the bar at first with pictures and getting everybody as soon as possible, so by the time any expenses come, I can just say "money ain't a problem, do it whatever it needs to be done". This is why I said in an earlier post that this game needs a long term money sink (like those special expensive dates I've mentioned). I think you calibrated this game to have the length of like 60-90 days mostly, but... truth to be told, this is simply too good to put down after that. You've done way better than what I think you expected from yourself.

Except Androids femdom mode.
