Went into an Ancient Forests journey only to find it had no exit portal (or boss). Also earlier had one were the paladin was locked behind mountains on all sides. 

Do we have to start the game over from the beginning again? I loaded my save from the end of last up date, The ending 0.7 happens and then it says "The Story will continue in 0.9" and ends. So I went back to an earlier save and the same thing...

Make sure your phone has bluetooth on. Might also have to turn on http. I was having the same issue.
