Likewise!  👀

Thanks so much, we appreciate it! ❤

Thanks so much for the support! ✩ We're gonna keep on trucking as best we can, but we definitely love the characters so much that we're not about to grind to a halt, haha.

(Good vibes for good health right back at you, too! It's definitely rough, but I'm looking forward to Tropical Depression Tendency whenever the time's right for you to release it!)

Aw, this is an incredibly sweet comment -- thank you so much for playing! I hope you enjoy the full version when it comes out, too, I love the characters a lot and it's great to hear that you enjoyed spending time with them. ❤

Aw, I'm glad to hear that you might enjoy it even more with a wait, haha! Thanks for your patience and understanding; we're going to do our best to make sure the wait is definitely worth it!

I'm so glad to hear it was relatable and that you enjoyed it -- thanks so much for playing! I hope you enjoy the full version!

Thanks for playing LAF! I'm glad to hear that you think it was well-made, haha.

Oh, I'm glad you liked the demo after seeing it on LS; I hope you enjoy the full release!

Thanks for this reply -- speaking strictly for myself, it's already a huge load off my shoulders to be able to take this step back, and I know it'll only mean great things for the project's health and quality levels overall.

I'm also really glad to know the amount of work we do comes through, haha! It can feel a little difficult to not want to add more features and content, especially when something's been in production for as long as AWOO has and the areas we're working on tend to be slower ones, but we're making sure that the core content is as strong as it can be first. And it's great to hear that our love for the project comes through! We're all pretty passionate about it; DCS and Nat's ability to keep on trucking as best as they can is a huge part of what makes working on it as great as it is.

Basically, thanks so much for your understanding, haha! It's nice to know familiar faces that I've seen be excited about this project over its lifetime are willing to wait, so it means a lot to me that you commented. We'll keep doing our best over here with your support!

Wow, this is such a sweet comment, I'm incredibly touched!!! ❤  I'm really moved to hear that you had a feeling similar to the one I originally did while playing A Mortician's Tale, which is what drove me to make this in the first place; it's wonderful to hear that something I made could fill one of those tiny, new little niches for you! There's lots of other different things I'm interested in making -- so hopefully my other work can do that in the future, too!

(And I'm absolutely a huge fan of Robin's work, too, so I'm totally thrilled to be able to work with them. They've done an excellent job and been a great contributor -- really, this turned out as well as it did because of all the amazing people putting in some incredible work, haha. I'm super lucky!)

Thanks, DCS -- for both your relentless encouragement and all your hard work! ❤

That's great to hear! Hopefully your favorite characters are just as fun for you in the full release!

Sorry about that! Sometimes Ren'Py can be a little bit picky, but hopefully you didn't have to waste too much time getting the stars back! ❤

I'm glad you enjoyed learning more about the characters -- Jolene's relationship with her brother has been one of my favorite dynamics to write, so hopefully you enjoy reading it when the full thing comes out! (As far as her song, I don't actually know what that is! I based it on a song that got stuck in my head in a Lyft, and I've never found out what it was called, haha.) Thanks for letting me know there's a typo! I'll definitely make sure to put that on the patch list.

Some Guy is definitely an interesting case, haha. He gets to have his own fun, and he's an important character to Eddie's early development for sure, but he doesn't get a full route... In the base dating sim, anyway. ;) I've definitely planned out what his arc on his own route would be, but it's a matter of how well AWOO actually does once it launches to see if it could be a reality! So fingers crossed!

And I definitely don't mind answering your question RE: werewolf stuff now! All of the guys have roughly three decent-sized scenes, and each guy has at least one human and one werewolf "encounter", haha. The third scene -- and the order they're in, as well as what that actually entails in terms of content/actions -- completely depends on which love interest you pick! But there's some options in the text itself, so you definitely see your fair share of everything. I feel like that's as clear as I can be without totally spoilering every part, haha.

Thanks for your support! ❤ Hope you enjoy the full release!

Hey there! You caught me while I'd temporarily pulled the old demo down to make way for the new one, unfortunately -- you should be able to download the new version now. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks so much for letting us know you liked it! ❤

The "[PC]" build -- the third one on the list -- is for Windows, actually! Your comment actually made me realize I hadn't marked it correctly in Itchio's system, but now each file is clearly labeled with the little icons. Thank you, I might never have noticed otherwise!

The timing on this made me laugh (I'd scheduled today's update on the release date's new estimate for today because it's all 13s) but I'm sorry to say that it'll be a few more months! You can look forward to seeing these guys in full this July.

AWOO doesn't have any plans for voice acting right now, but I'd be more than happy to take the idea under consideration for a post-release patch, since I honestly hadn't even thought about it seriously before. I'm really delighted to hear that you like Louis, he's near and dear to my heart, so hopefully his full route satisfies you. ❤ And yep, you do need to see all 27 of the current conversations to see the werewolf dialogue; an update specifically for the demo is coming next month that'll make that a little bit easier, because they're all getting more conversations, but you should be able to see it before then if you finish all the conversations. Thanks for your comment!

Hey there! (Writer here, filling in while the amazing DCS is at a convention so your comment doesn't get lost.)

I'm super glad you think our project achieved what we were setting out to do, even if that one ending broke your heart -- Burdoc's character is something I'm pretty happy with overall, so it really makes me glad to know that you loved him enough to try and see his story through to the end, even if that's not exactly how things shake out!

Thanks for playing! <3

DCS!!! You're always too kind, haha, but I'm thrilled you found the characters engaging and the plot's overall scheme worked for you. These topics are definitely things I think about a fair bit, so I'm glad I was able to do them justice for you as a player without (in your words) coming off as hand-feeding it to you!

Oh, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! ❤ This is such a sweet comment to leave, thanks so much for taking the time to write it; hopefully I'll be able to continue these guys' story one day, I definitely had a good time with them (and with everyone's awesome contributions on art/UI/etc, haha).

Wow, thanks for the long and thoughtful comment! I'm going to try to run through all your points so hopefully I address them; if there's something I missed, don't hesitate to let me know.

First, thanks for the tip-off about the bug on Jeremy's end of things! I adjusted the script to correct my own buggy typo, so the 1.1 version that's up now is working smoothly thanks to you and Jei leaving comments about it. ❤ Better a day late than never! After your feedback, I've also gone in and added a link at the start of the page to a content warnings/ending walkthrough post, to hopefully minimize the confusion. What's listed there, and what I think your comment indicates that you saw, is all that there is of Cupid Date.

And I'm glad the premise seemed interesting, haha! I definitely want to do more with these characters, and already have plans in motion for the larger world setting — I actually pulled the setting from a longer WIP — but I'm glad you found what was already here engaging enough to see it through. Comments like this definitely make it all worthwhile, thank you!

Hey there!

No worries, you definitely aren't spamming; this is super helpful feedback and enabled me to fix an error you and another user both had! (It was just a ridiculous typo, whoops.)

You'll be able to re-download the game with the version that's up now, which is labeled as 1.1, and hopefully that bug should be fully gone.

Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it!!! ❤

Aw, this is such a sweet reply, I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it — and thank you so much for taking the time to play it and leave a comment! ❤ I hope that this time next year, you're having just as much of a blast with the full dating sim as you did with this demo!

I had the honor of getting to beta test this super cute, super sweet game right before it went live, and it was a fantastic experience! The characters all have wonderfully engaging, heartfelt personalities, which makes it easy to get invested in their story arcs — and given that those story arcs are all equally heartfelt in a way that makes you really feel for them every step of the way, Mermaid Splash is a great story to get invested in. Definitely pick this up if it at all seems appealing to you, it's a heartwarmingly charming way to spend your time.

(Plus, the art is amazing, especially the world designs and the interface. And the character sprites. And all of it, really. But you don’t need me to tell you that when you can see it right there!)

Good job, DCS and Nami! I’m looking forward to seeing more of what you two can do if (when?) you put your heads together as Sofdelux Studio in the future.

Nope, not yet! It'll be out in Spring 2018. ❤

This is so absolutely adorable, thank you so much for playing it (and for the thumbnail art, wow, deeply relatable)! I'm excited to see what you think of the full release next year! ❤

Thanks so much for playing and making a video out of it! ❤ Hope you enjoy the full version, too!

Wow, thanks so much for the playthrough video! ❤ Your video was a whole lot of fun to watch, I hope you enjoy the rest of the demo and the full dating sim when it's out next year!

I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed it, thank you so much for your detailed feedback on the demo — it really means a lot! (I'll pass on the good word about the art to DCS, who I know will appreciate it, too.)

It's wonderful to hear specifically that you enjoyed the non-romanceable characters, too, because I'm personally just as attached to them as the guys you can date, haha. There's no proper route for poor Some Guy in this game, unfortunately... But I definitely want to use him in something in the future! He'll have his chance to shine here and elsewhere, don't worry.

Thanks again for the thoughtful words! And sorry that Eddie doesn't see what you see in the new Beast, hahaha!

That gorgeous art is all thanks to DCS, whose other work on other visual novels and comics you should definitely check out on their own Itch.io! (They've done some fun stuff!)

And you're more than welcome to record yourself playing this, of course!! If you wouldn't mind, if/when you do, I'd love a link to it to see what you thought while playing?

Thanks so much, I'm really glad to hear that you enjoyed and that you loved all the characters! I hope you enjoy the full version when it comes out early next year. ❤

Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed, I hope you like the full game when it comes out!

Hey, thanks so much for playing! And thanks for letting me know about the bug with Marco's second conversation -- oddly, neither I or any of my beta testers ran into a bug quite like that, and there's nothing in the code that would cause that to happen easily, so it seems like something that got exported incorrectly. Yikes! Good to know about!

I'm glad you enjoyed learning about the other characters and that the format worked for you. Speed friending seemed like a good way to introduce the near-full cast of characters, so it's great to hear that it was fun to play through, too! (And don't worry, there's plenty of Eddie in the full game! Too much Eddie, maybe? A whooooole lot of Eddie.)

You too, DCS! Couldn't have done it without you!
