Those are good points. We got a bit bogged down in mechanics and learning Godot for our first game.

I like the score idea, that may have been a more achievable goal for us.

Our original plan was to have the setting change in the background so that it could tell a story and increase engagement.

There should be a win state if you survive for three minutes. Although, it's hard to survive that long, so maybe something got broken...

If we had more time, our next goal was to update the art in the parallax background from a small loop to  something of a story (a storm rolls in, day/night cycle, fish swim by, etc...) so that it is more clear with the progression.

Yeah, we kept having the difficulty swing back and forth during development. For a while it was way too easy and you could almost fly. We turned down the forces a lot and it got a lot harder, but I think maybe too hard. If we continue on this game we'll be working to balance that.

This was the one goal we had time to achieve. I am glad it was funny.

Appreciate the feedback!! :^)
