honestly just stick to the 4-peg puzzles, the 5-pegs aren't needed for game completion and they're extremely difficult
if the 4-peg puzzles are too easy or you want an extra challenge, the 5-peg puzzles can give you tons of gems if you are good at them! but it's not really worth it if you're just staring at them for 20 minutes like i do sometimes 😭
Tthanks for the thoughtful review! Unfortunately you can't do activities with the chameleon, although sometime he fills in for the other pokemon and you can talk to him, he has some funny conversations. But, no sexual activities with him.
I'm sorry to hear about the technical difficulties! The game is most stable in Windows, and I've seen it sometimes have problems on other platforms.
There is actually a detailed guide at gitgud.io! Under Section 4 "Adding your own Pokemon" it describes all of the steps necessary to add your pokemon. But really, step 1 is getting to where you can build the game, so start with the "Workstation Setup" page in the Wiki to install all of the HaxeFlixel libraries, VSCode, and about 50-100 other little things ha ha.
It will be an adventure! But I wish you the best of luck, it would be very cool to see more Pokemon.
I'm not currently working on a new Monster Mind game, but i have some ideas saved up for if I ever decide to! I'm currently working on a bunch of other games first.
someone suggested maybe making having a virtual cursor which you move around by swiping? so you could move a virtual cursor, and then tap anywhere to click. that idea makes sense to me, maybe as a toggle in the options or something!
Oh wow that's great to hear, thank you! The 7 peg puzzles are very difficult. You can play them whenever you like -- click Abra's head on the main menu after completing the 5-peg tutorial! Some people on the discord enjoy them but they are too hard for me...

sorry the game is complete! adding new pokemon is a lot of work, and it would be very complicated and difficult to add new pokemon without breaking the password system
Yeah, I wish Nidoking came to visit sometimes! But I can't imagine having him and Rhydon in the same house... I'd need to program bigger text boxes just for all the shouting!
Some of the characters are more sensitive than others about Grimer's smell! Some if them will not play with you at all, or some of them will just need a short break.
There are certain gloves you can buy that prevent the smell, if you use them with Grimer! They are the gloves with the lightning bolt. (Or you can just not play with grimer, I GUESS)
There is no trick to getting the red dildo, you just have to wait for Heracross to put it in stock! It will show up faster if you buy more of the other items. (But make sure you can afford it when it shows up! It is expensive and rare.)
The tablet/pad is another item you can buy! It is also quite expensive and rare.
It is based on Master Mind! If you google something like "play master mind online" you will probably find a lot of websites which will give you puzzles.
The biggest difference, is that in Monster Mind the guesses are all made for you -- so you have to be very clever and very efficient! When you play online, you can make a lot of silly guesses and you will probably always win, even if you are not very clever.
OH and a little easter egg, but this specific puzzle is the reason why I have 5-peg puzzles in my game! I laughed at how hard it was to solve these puzzles with 5 pegs and only 6 guesses. But with Abra's help, I now understand it's actually one guess too many. If you're clever, you can always solve it!
Oh okay! Nobody has built an iOS version yet. iOS development is very expensive, very difficult and it is illegal unless you pay apple a lot of money for a specific kind of computer. I'm sorry!
The game is open source, so if you know somebody with a lot of money (or maybe someone who is already an iOS developer) then maybe they can port it!
yeah, it would be nice if Pokemon existed in real life! but for me, most of my friends are online anyway. the difference is not as big as you might expect!

yeah personally i always just play with the guys, but i thought it was important for the game to be as inclusive as possible! after all for how many games i've played where i thought "man i wish i could romance the guy," how hypocritical would it be to have a game with no female characters 😀

Yeah, we've got some other small changes coming to the android version next month too! It would be a shame if this game died with Flash, I'm glad to keep it alive. It's a very special game
I've seen other games would offer more interaction options, that would be cool! It would be a little strange thematically with the game, since it would imply Abra just created something like a floating tongue which floats around and salivates everywhere, ha ha. But who knows!
Thank you, i totally agree with the sentiment of inclusion and respecting the pronoun and genital preferences of all players! But unfortunately in the present day, video games are written by people in machine code, and considerations like these require more people, smarter people, and more complicated code. I promise i did try really hard!!
The game is open-source if you happen to remember some of the specific places where you got "he'd", or if you want to expand the game to include separate preferences for genitals/gender, expand the dialog choices, or even offer alternate more complex pronouns, or let the Pokemon themselves be non-binary. The possibilities are only limited by your free time, patience and technical expertise!
If you want to fix those dialogue typos, here are the two classes which include about 99% of Heracross's dialogue in the entire game (except for the places where they show up during other pokemon's puzzles.) If you remember the exact thing they said, you can just CTRL+F it and find it really quickly!
For example line 927 here, Heracross talks about abra and says "...if he..." and then line 950 includes the alternate female dialogue "...if she...". Maybe there are some mistakes or oversights! It's also possible you misread the dialogue, and they were talking about a male Pokemon in the game, but you thought they were talking about you instead. I'm not sure! Let me know if you find anything I should fix.
