Uhh, well that is not exactly how it works. They would have needed to build the game using appropriate resources for use on a PSX or PSX emulator to start with. They didn't. They used modern resources and made it look old. That's it. Unfortunately what you are asking / suggesting is that the developer go back and remake the "demake" again in old, outdated standards. It's just not going to happen. Sorry!

Considering the game is built in Unreal Engine, I doubt it. The game only looks like it could run on the PSX because of the artistic representation. This game is using technology far past what the actual PSX or a PSX Emulator would probably be able to handle. That's why it's a self contained application.
Yes,
Option 1) Windows key + R (run command) then paste the "steam://" file above. Press run. This will pull steam up and launch the controller configuration with my config.
Option 2) Paste into an internet browser (similar to run command), and have the link be opened with the Steam application (Firefox will allow you to do this, and I'm sure Chrome will too)
Option 3) After renaming your game to Bloodborne (PSX), you can find my configuration under the "Community" tab.
All of these methods still need you to click: Apply configuration
Hello gamers, I have made a controller configuration to try and emulate more closely to Bloodborne on PS4.
In order to use this, you will need to add the game to your steam library. To do this, go to "Games" (at the top) > "Add a non-Steam Product" > Locate the game with the browse function, and select the .exe within the game's folder. I suggest copy and pasting the entire BBPSX folder into your steam apps common folder. (more advanced)
After you have added the game (not 100% sure if this is necessary, but I would just do it to make sure it works) rename the game in your library to Bloodborne (PSX).
After the rename, simply paste this: steam://controllerconfig/bloodborne%20%28psx%29/2739692712 into your browser or command line and it will pop up with a configuration PREVIEW window. Make sure to add the configuration. -- This is also available through the community configs in the controller menu as well.
If this gets more attention and people start using it, I will add pictures to help with installation, but overall it's very simple.
I absolutely love this game so far. You've done an outstanding job replicating the feel of Bloodborne on the PSX. I do have a few questions/QoL things I wish you could add (if you see this post).
Would it be possible to add analog support? (This isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility, OG PSX controllers didn't have analog sticks, but later versions did)
Also, maybe a bug, but I noticed numerous times that my AUDIO settings were not being saved between "Loading" zones. They would appear to be set correctly in the menu, but they reset back to 200, then you have to fiddle with the slider again to get it to recognize it's much lower than that.
