Cute little demo. Can't wait to try the rest! Just make sure that all the translation is complete as well.

Thanks for being willing to give it another go. One thing I forgot to mention earlier is that the reason why I removed the options menu from the start up of the game, is because with how the game was coded, upon exiting the options menu, the opening intro with the logos would play all over again and reset all option settings. So I removed the option menu to alleviate the combersome repetitiveness of that. Also it would appear that creating controller support will be easier said than done. I'm struggling to find exactly what I need to make it possible.

Hello d757gaming, I really appreciate you taking the time to try out my game. I watched your livestream and I would love to take the time to address some of the biggest concerns you addressed, as you played.

Tutorial: there is a tutorial. You have to talk with the villagers multiple times in order to get tutorial help. I can definitely work on making the tutorials more obvious so that you can get that help you need.

Controls: I will admit I did not anticipate that people would try to play with a controller. I will see what I can do to accomodate for this, but I cannot make any promises because being new in game development, this would require me doing research on how to implement controller support from more experienced developers. If controller support is not possible, I'll have to leave it out entirely to avoid breaking the game. I will also make this known in the game description.

Balancing: I tried matching up the balancing exactly as it was with the original. That is why some monsters take more hits and deal painfully high amounts of damage. That is because that's how they were designed in the original. Don't expect this to be changed.

Leveling up and item use: there is no level up system. The game also does not have a defense points system either, nor did the original. For item help/use, I can definitely improve explaining how each item works with the tutorials. Based on your experience so far, I can tell you what I can. You increase your max HP by picking up chain mail and hearts. Chain mail by 5 points, hearts by 10. Gauntlets increase your attack points by 5. Picking up weapons does the same thing as the gauntlet. The Merlin's cloak with the floating shield above you gives you temporary invincibility giving you the chance to hack away at enemies without risk of taking damage. The issue with the different skills that you were using is that you can only have one skill equipped at a time. You lose whatever the last skill was if you pick up another, as you noticed, when you picked up the magic axe and lost the potion. The magic axe opens up blocked areas you can't reach. The potion replenishes all lost health. Elvenade, sometimes dropped by enemies replenishes 20 HP.

Again, a lot of these item tips will be addressed when I improve the tutorial sections of the game. Your constructive criticism is very much appreciated! I'll get to work on making it a better experience. Also I noticed when you entered the second forest dungeon you could not manually save your progress. That is a failure on my part, because I had originally intended on not permitting manual saves in dungeons, but after much testing, I decided autosave was the better way to go and I just forgot to fix what I originally programmed to allow manual saving at any time even though that is not the saving system worked in the original, but hey, we're in a new age of gaming so some systems have to be updated or left behind for being outdated right?
