A really really sweet game. I was feeling very emotional by the end, Crowmother's words rly spoke to me. I think my beloved baby crowchild, Peanut Butter, has a very good design, and I was immediately very attached to him, and I likely will be for the rest of my life. I think the music fit very well, and I really loved how much we learned about the characters, without it feeling overwhelming or forced. Yall did a great job :)))
Interesting premise but I think there is some things that can be done to make it a bit more comprehensible. The white text on the lime background makes the text hard to read, and it's hard to tell who is talking. Instead of just having the characters stand static in a line the whole time, it might be nice to have them highlighted, or come forward, when they're talking, that way it's very easy for us to visually see who is talking. I think there's a bit more you could do to expand upon the characters as well! Give us the option to choose to talk to someone and learn a bit about them as we trick-or-treat. I thought the character art was really nice, I especially liked the second one from the left!
This was very funny while still being very touching. The "yay!!!!" sound effect got an audible laugh from me at least twice. I liked watching Charles become all nice and fixed, and seeing just a touch of Janey's life is really interesting. I did go through and try all the options (I think at least), and I felt like one of them jumped into the ending without connecting very well. I don't want to spoil things but, there is knowledge that Moxie has that they shouldn't have based on the option I selected, if that makes sense?? Along the same option, it's the same regardless of the previous option, even if it doesn't quite connect. If you want I can elaborate more I just don't want to spoil anything for people 😓. Still though I thought it was fun, the graphics were all really nice, all the buttons had a fun look to them, and I liked the little hints of story we were given!
I really liked this game! I thought the art was absolutely adorable (while still managing to be spooky), and the character designs are excellent! I especially loved Dahlia 👀. I did notice a couple of spelling errors, but they weren't too bad, just missing a letter or two. I also noticed that there were a couple times Dahlia would be on the left side of the screen and Mirabell would be on the right, meaning that they were sort of facing nothing. It's obviously not game breaking or anything but I think it would probably look nicer if they were consistently kept to their side of the the screen, or if you wanted to make the sprites all facing forward, then it doesn't matter where you put them. Either way I really enjoyed it and I think that you did a really great job representing abusive and manipulative friends, and how successful they can be in roping you into the most ridiculous shit.
Cool idea! Reminds me of the games I would play on my school's computers as a good, like Purble Place. I did find a glitch, when I got to level 5, I got the prompt to continue but it didn't, and I just was still at the last level with no new paint spawning and the enter prompt was no longer there. I had fun up til then tho!
Cute! I love match-three games because I am a grandma who just got her first cellphone at heart and this was great! I think the switching was really fun, and it keeps me more engaged than just a classic one! I think the only thing I would say that would help enhance it a bit, is if the icons also changed during the seasons. So when it's winter they're all winter themed icons, instead of having all season themed icons all the time. But that's obviously just a small aesthetic thing lol, otherwise it's great!
