Ah! Thx. Jill looked sad when I said no so I let her take me lol. Jill is cute so she's one of my favorites atm.

Great game, but there's an image on the side for a scene with Dixie? I couldn't find that in the game. Is it in the first 4 episodes?

I just played the game and I love it. I'm sure Kyo meant it as a joke. Your MC isn't evil, he just goes along with kinks and whatnot. He's very well-written!

And for anyone reading/concerned, no he does not take advantage of anyone he lives with... Unless you want him to... Then it's that's on you lol

Maybe I skimmed over it, but I don't see where it says what the game is about here.

I was a bit scared at first but then I kinda laughed at the beginning when I remembered the plot. I made that comment about AVNs with bad writing and this reminded me of those games. A douchey guy being douchey and getting all the girls - that's it. That would be the game. And I'd get sick of it so fast.

So I can see no greater person to put in a time loop than this one to learn a lesson. lol

Part of me wants to replay this version multiple times to see all the possible outcomes, if any others exist, but another part of me wants to wait til the game is complete to experiment with stuff like that.

I'm interested to see where this goes!

I pretty much just use itch to exclusively play Twine and Ren'py games and so when I was cleaning out my computer a couple of months ago I went "Wait, what happened to Courtship?" and tried to see if there was a newer update I missed. I was heartbroken to see it was deleted/de-listed. I later found out from F95 or your Patreon that you had things going on and put Courtship on hold for a smaller project.

First I just wanna say, I hope whatever is going on gets better soon. It's not any of our business exactly what it is, but I have a lot of respect for devs who are transparent about these things and at least let us know that something IS going on.

Second, I wanted to tell you that Courtship is a great game. I've learned from playing dozens of AVNs that good graphics and sex scenes do not make a good AVN. They're important, but so is good writing. And good writing is surprisingly RARE in the community. Courtship didn't get far but it was definitely a gem that had it.

So this is pretty much a thank you letter. I can't support you financially as my own life is in shambles as it is. But I do want to say that I appreciate and love your game as it was something I looked forward to seeing develop. Even if making games is just a hobby for you, the experience you bring means a lot! So thanks! Can't wait to try out The Loop.

"Traits" section doesn't show when I make a new character. I've tried deleting saves and reinstalling but nothing works. Was the feature removed?

I hate Discord, but I'll say here that this update is amazing. I've said it before, but I'm very immersed in the story you're trying to tell. I also love games where I'm given choices that mean something. It's such a satisfying and underappreciated experience.  I can't wait for Chapter 5 to see where everything goes!

Glad you're okay and doing alright! Can't wait to try the update.

Just played it and it's... pretty short. Do you plan to update it, or is this a demo? If it's just a demo, I'd also add that somewhere.

Sure. But no one said that? I just want the dev to be aware of the site's policies should he choose to make his games for purchase. The game's content is fine, I personally just suggested giving it another name. As to NOT draw fire to it.

Hey! Been wondering where you've been! Can't wait to try out the game, but just an FYI, I'd probably change the title. Idk what Itch.io's policies are exactly, but I think they're cracking down on games that are blatantly inc*st. At least monetary-wise. Be careful.

I decided to check out this game at your recommendation and I enjoyed it.  I'm impressed by your voice work. It's very sultry and fitting for an adult game!

But I'm not big on "wife sharing" so this game was a bit of a mixed bag for me, but that doesn't make it any less impressive!

Though I will admit there were points where I found reading it myself faster, I think having a VN read to you is still a cool touch, but probably best reserved for special moments or things of important plot relevance.

Wasn't expecting anything at least until tomorrow! Tysm!

Hello! Just stumbled across this game and thought I'd share a few thoughts.

  1. Was surprised by the voice-acted intro. Pleasantly of course.
  2. I noticed some spelling/grammar mistakes but only a couple. For AVNs, I always recommend putting them through some sort of spell/grammar check for quality.
  3. I enjoyed the animations as well. I'm not sure what magic you used, but I was able to play this on my low-specs laptop without lagging or crashing from them! Whatever it is, keep doing it lol.

Other than that, this seems like a really cool project! I guess my only fear or concern is the game becoming too femdom-centric? Respect to the fetish, but I'm much more interested in getting to know the characters and developing a relationship that way.

Thanks for the reply! Shows that you care and are listening. Hope I didn't come off as too critical, just wanted to give my honest feedback. Thank you for your hand work. Can't wait for the next part!

Amazing game! I came to be horny but this came kept me engaged all of the way through. The models are great and so is the writing. I was so sad when I reached the end of the current version!

Every character is charming or interesting; even the cliche ones have layers that I can't wait to see flesh out! Very excited to see the next chapter of New Antioch and its world and characters!

Seems like a very cool project! I can see all the effort you're putting in, and I appreciate it.  I just have a couple of notes.

You have a report button for grammar and spelling mistakes, and this isn't really a mistake, but I see that the game translates "*laugh*" to "lol"? "lol" isn't really something people say out loud and idk why it changes to lol when *laugh* is just fine. Not a big deal, it's just a bit immersion-breaking. Some bits of dialogue also had "\insert text here"\ weird slashes in them? I had thought this was a mistake, but there were so many, I was beginning to think it was intentional? I sent feedback on some of them just in case they weren't.

There are also "jokes"(?) that I don't understand? When you get your room, there's a random remark about F95 players not understanding the plot? And a few other jokes like that. I don't mind 4th wall jokes or meta humor, but some of them seem out of nowhere and don't fit the mood.

Other than that, I really enjoyed what I played so far even though my laptop couldn't handle much of it. lol. In the future, I hope you add things optional to do between the days? I know it's early, but I found myself skipping through days just to get to the next event.

I can't download the archive.rpa file, I keep getting the 0x8000x4005 error and can't play.

Love the game so far, but the new characters feel a bit too similar to the last ones personality-wise. I'm hoping that will change in the future, but if not, I'll at least put my faith in the "customization of scenarios" aspect of the game.

Honestly, I am getting a little antsy for the next update, but that's why I love these progress reports. This is shaping up to be one of my favorite VNs, and watching it grow and hearing how hard you're working on it is actually really satisfying.

Not many VN authors are... how do I say... "transparent"(?) about how far along they are. Just saying "It'll be done when it's done" can quickly alienate fans or just leave them straight up forgetting about your project, especially if you are taking longer than originally said. So I really appreciate these updates, because you don't have to do them, but it comes across as really thoughtful to your fans. Thanks!

Love the game! I've been playing for 12ish hours so far, exploring and testing different things out. I can see how much effort you put into it and I am really impressed! I can't wait to follow along and see how it develops.

If I had any feedback, it'd maybe be limiting the number of generated characters? Unless there's an option I missed. You rarely see any of the same characters outside of classmates and your dormmates. As for the ones you see outside, like at the bar or arcade, there doesn't seem to be a way to call on those characters aside from randomly seeing them again. You also automatically acquire the number of people you befriend which can really clog up your phone. On one saved file, I think I had 5 pages of "friends"? Limiting who gets your number might be a good idea too. I really can't tell but it almost feels like the game is constantly making new characters which would lower the chances of meeting previous characters you have rapport with. Unless, again, the number of generated characters is just that high.

I know the game is still young, but it's kind of crazy how far and how few story/character events are, given how much time we have in a given day. After a month or two in-game, I couldn't tell if there was anything left to do, or if progressing was just spaced out THAT much. I know you're working on adding more content, but it's just something that becomes quite noticeable with the current version.

I'm still messing around with the dating system, but it becomes harder(?) to do anything sexual after becoming romantic with a character? Maybe I'm just doing something wrong or picking the wrong options, haha.

So there are a couple of things I'm confused and a little upset about, from a developer's standpoint.

Why have you made 4 separate game pages for the same (?) game? You have the original revised version, the 2 love versions, and now this incest version. Isn't it all the same game? They don't really seem to be all that different from each other to warrant making a different page for it. If it is all just the same game, then delete the other versions. I feel like each "version" is just a regular update from the previous one, and in that case, keep it all on one game page. You can just write devlog posts telling us what's new and we will still be notified of the updates.

If they ARE different versions of the game, then you need to specify what's different about them. All 4 game pages pretty much have the same description. Because the names imply that the Love Version has more "romance" than the others and the Incest Version has incest in it while the others do not.

Even if they are all different games with different endings and dialogue, can't you just make that one big game? Just like with Futa content, you can give us options to romance or not romance a character, and see or not see incest scenes.

As for my actual thoughts on the game so far, I don't take it too seriously. it's pretty funny and entertaining, but it's lacking ... "that something" I can't quite identify. In trying to understand the differences, I deleted my previous save and started the game from the beginning. I was hoping I'd recapture that intrigue I had when you first released it, but it felt a little... boring if I'm being honest. The story is very linear, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it also lacks anything interactive. The FIRST choice in the game is asking if we want futa content or not.

I think I've mentioned something similar in reviewing your previous game, "Our Secret" or on a previous version of this one, but personally speaking, I prefer games where the main character is more of a blank slate for us to add more of our own thoughts and opinions to the game. Which, depending on the story, can't be helped. In a story about a rich frat boy getting sucked into a world of magic and sexy monsters, I expect his personality to be a little douche-y. But a good writer/developer can still allow the player to be a GOOD douche/frat boy or the BIGGEST douche/frat boy by giving them options to personalize their experience.

Here in this game, you're pretty much a clean slate as a withdrawn nerd who got abducted. The player should be able to say/react however we want. But it doesn't feel like I'm playing a game as me, Asterr, but just reading a story about the protagonist, "Mark". And if that's the case, why even make this a game at all? Giving us options to say "Go Left" or "Go Right", "I like Chocolate" or "I like Vanilla", not only makes your game less boring and more immersive, it gives it replay value!

For example, when Aisha assaults Mark in her sleep and wakes up, she is confused and Mark screams "YOU R*PED ME!" I remember it being pretty funny the first time around, and also a logical option to do to avoid conflict with her, given her personality. It's also kinda true that she did assault you. But in hindsight, it's kinda a shitty way to handle the situation and very manipulative on Mark's part. If given the option, I would've chosen to approach the situation more softly.

By the time I got to Vasilisa, I found myself just clicking through the dialogue without reading it. I remembered the general premise of what they wanted and just wanted to move on to the newer parts of the game, but soon after, I just ended up taking a break. I was so disassociated from the game and story, that I found it hard to press forward.

Mark feels like a 5-year-old in a candy store, licking and eating everything just because he can. And why wouldn't he? There are no consequences. The way he just takes advantage of anyone and everything just really takes me out of the experience.

Of course, I say none of this to say the game is bad or boring, or that you're a bad developer. I just genuinely want to give you honest feedback compared to the many, many games like this I've played.

This game will probably be pretty funny and interesting for first-time players, but after playing it once it's completely done, I can't see myself ever booting it up again. Maybe it's just not my type of game and that's okay. I don't want to force my definition of what a "good game" is upon you. More than anything, I just want to encourage you to push yourself more. Adult 18+ games can be SO MUCH MORE than just fap material. They can be adventure games, mystery, action, and even scary! Characters can be deep and interesting! You can even dive into deep topics like self-harm and abuse if you want to make a game that deep.

I can tell just from "Our Secret" that you can tell really interesting stories! And I'm interested in that. When I get the chance, I'll definitely try "Futanari Universe".

I stopped at the Casino because I was just intially curious as to what kind of game you made. Not sure how long or short it is. I'll probably finish at a later time to give my proper thoughts. But I did catch a couple of errors.

When picking a contestant from the Game Show level I received:

Error: cannot execute macro <<include>>: Story.has title parameter cannot be undefined
<<include $floor1ZombieMapW>>

Also, the music reaching the Casino from the elevator sounds weird. I'm not sure if it's one song or two songs playing at once, but definitely sounds weird.

Sorry, I'm confused by all these versions. What's the difference between this and the Standalone version...?

I'd lie if I said I wasn't disappointed in your decision. I wasn't interested in the gay content, but I was interested in the Futa stuff. Even then, I still liked how you did include gay content as an option; it felt inclusive. There aren't many games like this that have gay/futa scenes.

I'll still follow the game for the story, but in the future, I really hope you double down on your decision if you make another game that has gay, futa, or whatever you want in it. There will always be people who aren't into something, and if so, just make it skippable. Then, there's nothing to complain about.

Not sure why this is downvoted when it's true.

Here, we only have version 0.6, but version 0.9 is available to his patrons. Forget the public release updates being available a month or two after the early release. We're missing almost 1 year's worth of updates.

For anyone who was really into this game, I recommend checking the Discord to see what's up, but I don't Discords.

So, f**k me, I guess.

Will there be a fast travel system? I kind of gave up because I couldn't find the bridge or the classes. Map didn't really help.

Just wanted to say thank you. Your games are so much more than just Adult VNs; they are quality experiences. The world, the characters, and the writing are all top-notch. Whether you'll post your next VN project on Itch or not, I'll support you wherever you choose to go.

Much appreciated! You can keep the font if you like it. I'd just try it with a text box first. Play around with it to see what works for you and the players :)

(1 edit)

I highly recommend a text box for the game. I dunno if the text is smaller compared to other games, or maybe it's just the font, but the lack of a text box really puts a strain on the eyes in certain sections. Your game has more white than you think, and you end up with sections like this where the easiest thing to read is the text over her blouse. Especially in the school. This is just one of many examples.

I have received a LOT of errors regarding the Ladies Man perk.

Stuff like:

"game/system/function_library.rpy", line 4464, in ladies_man_perk TypeError: 'int' object is not subscriptable

Interacting with groping characters or characters being groped also causes errors.

Are these known errors?

So I played the first chapter, and I must say it felt really... off? Spoilers I guess, but I didn't like how everything just goes immediately into "please impregnate my wife". The characters have known each other for years, but there wasn't enough time for the player to get to know them before the dinner scene. I guess I just expected more dialogue and events before that.

Secondly, Jona later brings up something like "well that's what they did back in the old days", but how come subjects like surrogates and sperm donation weren't brought up at all? I am 100% for Netori, but if you're going for a serious thriller where you're talking about heavy stuff like the inability to have children, I feel like more realistic things like that should've been brought up.

If the game had a light, fun, and sexy atmosphere like a lot of other adult novels, I wouldn't care. But in the type of game I think you're going for? I'm not sure how to put it into words, but I would really consider "how would this happen in most real-life situations?" and "how do I want this to happen?", and weave together those two things moving forward; makes everything more believable and easy to swallow that way.

I'm not trying to tell you how to make your game, just wanted to give you some honest feedback.
