Great Expectations was required reading for me in school, and as a young queer kid, I couldn't help but feel like Herbert and Pip's relationship was something to be coveted, and held close to my heart. I think that reading them as either not-quite-lovers in this era, is very lovely. I'm very glad to see I'm not the only one! Thank you for sharing this, the way you write Herbert's inner dialogue is really in character, and I enjoyed the endings a lot :) !!!
made a carrd to keep better track of the dev log as we update it! (@bird_brainless and I are the duo for this text adventure)
here's the current info on our text adventure game that includes romance but the player character is not required to romance !! we're really excited to get started and have a rough outline for the story and will have a dev roadmap soon :) (subject to change)
our unnamed text game is about an adventurer who stumbles into a fae ring and ends up in the fae realm. they get roped into staying until after the mushroom ball, where the prince and princess of the mushroom court are supposed to mingle with the royalty of the other courts and start a courtship. the royal siblings take interest in the adventurer - will the adventurer escape the fae realm? will they fall in love? these questions are for you to answer!
